| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? Ah yes… her first lunch as a cop. This meal was going to be glorious, delicious, even. Lyn D. Keell had just started her first day as a police officer. She had her police uniform on, and gawd did she love how it made her look and feel. This was the meaning of power. The morning was rather uneventful. She and other rookies did some training exercises and Lyn might`ve accidentally sent one of the new recruits in the hospital. Really, the guy was asking for it, pushing her into throwing her best punch. Little did he know that this woman was not to be trifled with; to give an idea; she was taller than the average Japanese male and worked out regularly to keep herself in shape. After all, how could someone meek ever think to properly defend someone? The incident quickly made its way around the precinct and it did earn her the respect of some of her colleagues, especially those that witnessed it. Lyn was a meta-human. Her power was to shift that body of hers into metal and the punch she gave was one mean metal punch. Lyn was happy; however, as she began eating the cafeteria food, though one bite was enough to turn her blue. She swallowed it down though… She expected the taste of victory to be less… disgusting… She sighed as she begrudgingly ate her lunch |

Yui sighed as she walked throughout the police station, her stomach had been growling all morning. She had slept in and forgot to eat breakfast. Giving head nods and waves of hello to her fellow coworkers, her eyes shifted to making her way down towards the cafeteria. It had been an uneventful day for Yui, nothing but paperwork to fill out from the past couple of days. Which was fine for her, every now and then she needed a break from the excitement of the streets of Niwa. Pushing open the doors to the mess hall, she looked around for seating, or maybe her partner Peter. Not seeing very many seats open, or at least none that she would think to sit at she held her bento box and moved throughout the seated cops. One spot in particular caught her eye, a woman sitting by herself, and she just looked as she had just began eating. Yui took the chance to quickly move over and take a seat across from her. "Hi, hope you don't mind if I squeeze in here with you." She smiled at the woman who looked almost identical to Yui. She had blonde hair and blue eyes, she couldn't tell by height or anything, but she didn't seem as tall as Yui was. Though, the cop uniform was what separated the woman from her. Yui wore black pants that hugged her legs all the way down to her boots, with a regular white button up dress shirt. Her badge could be seen clipped to her pants, so she was defiantly an officer. "Officer Yui Iwasawa. It's a pleasure...?" She extended her hand over the table towards the girl, and smiled. |

Lyn perked up as a woman came near her and asked for a seat. She had food in her mouth, and just nodded as she swallowed the piece bitterly. She let out a gasp of her, and scratched the back of her head a bit embarrassed. “Yo! I`m Lyn D. Keell” She said proudly as she pointed at her name tag. She then shook her hand, giving her a firm shake. “I`m a new cop! This is my first day.” She said gleefully as she took a piece of food and put it in her mouth, turning blue again, as she swallowed it bitterly. “I expected the food to be better though… “ She chuckled lightly. “So which division are you a part of Yui?” Lyn was very friendly, but didn`t really seem the professional type. She was rough around the edges, but that`s kind of what happens when you`re raised alongside 5 boys. |

Yui raised her hand to her neck and scratched it, seeing how cheerful and upbeat the woman was, she was showing all the traits of being a new cop. Smiling sweetly, Yui nodded her head and chuckled. "Well welcome to the force Lyn, good to have you here" Opening up her bento she revealed rice balls and some sushi. Being raised by two mothers, she grew up knowing how to cook just about everything. The fact that both her mothers were Japanese, they made sushi almost every weekend as a treat. Breaking apart her chop sticks, Yui grabbed a roll and put it into her mouth, chewing gently with a smile on her face. As she swallowed she turned her bento towards Lyn and gestured towards it. "Go ahead, have one if you'd like. They are simple California rolls, but I made extra." She chuckled. "The food here...should taste better. This is why I bring food normally." So for her division, Yui had to think for a second. Pondering how to put it. "Um, well I'm part of special division. I'm a sniper that just came from serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, so I'm relatively new here myself. What about you, Lyn?" |

« Aye Thank you! » Lyn said cheerfully at being welcomed in the force. She was eager to go on her first assignment. A cop was a very respectable job, and was something she`s been wanting to do since she was a little girl. Be the heroine that locks up the bad guys away and protect the weak non-powered ones. Lyn took another bite of her food, and turned blue again. This was torture, but her mother was always very firm on finishing her plate. She swallowed the content when Yui offered a bento roll. “Really?!” She said with her eyes sparkling with gratitude. “Thank you very much!” She said proudly as she took one and took it to her mouth. She blushed at the taste of it. Compared to the cafeteria food, this was like tasting a live angel. “This… food… Is so delicious!” She said with tears in her eyes. Truly, THIS was a true victory feast. “Oh wow, you were in Afghanistan?! How was that like? Did you take down any terrorists? I heard it was hot out there, was it? So you`re a sniper? How good are you?” Lyn said excitedly bombarding her with questions, not realizing she had asked a question. |

Yui wasn't used to people like Lyn, so bubbly and outgoing, the past six years she had been around a bunch of men. They were...well, needless to say not like this. Though, she couldn't help but giggle as the woman took her invitation to take a sushi roll. Her cheeks filled with a pink tent as Lyn enjoyed it. "You are very welcome, Lyn. Take another if you'd like." She had made plenty, and she took a roll in her chop sticks and popped it into her own mouth. Smiling she chewed slowly, trying to think of how to respond to all of her questions. "Well.." She licked her lips, swallowing her food she answered. "Yeah, I felt in my element out there. I wouldn't say, I liked it, but I didn't hate it." Who likes to be at war, honestly. It was more of a love hate relationship she had with Afghanistan. "I would go back, lets put it that way." She laughed a bit, smiling. "I killed a lot of people, terrorists is the most common word, so yes." Taking a bite of her rice she nodded her head, "Hot doesn't even cover it. I was sweating so much it was like I was getting paid too." Laughing she put down her chop sticks and leaned her head to the side, moving her hair across her body and running her fingers through it. "I was top in my unit for sniping. They sent me out on top of the line missions." She tried to put it in easy terms, some military terms were...needless to say hard to understand. "I have what you call Hyperkinetics, basically gives me perfect aim. My mind lines up a direct shot for me to the target. So where as most snipers have to do calculations to shoot their target. Wind, distance you know that good ol' stuff. My mind automatically knows what it is, without me having to go through the steps. If that makes sense." Yui crossed her long legs, trying not to kick Lyn under the table. "Now, for my questions. How old are you? And, did you just move here to Niwa? If so, where are you from?" Lyn nearly squealed as she was instructed to give another. She didn`t want to abuse her friendship, but she deserved it! She just sent a jerk to the hospital that had to be worth something. She gladly took the oll, smiling at her. “You`re so kind!” She said as she devoured it, blushing again at the taste. Lyn had hoped the cafeteria food was edible when she realized she didn`t have the time to make her own lunch… She was a decent cook; her mom forced her to help her prepare the lunches of her younger brothers. Lyn listened as Yui spoke. She was all ears. She nodded as she spoke. Lyn smiled even more when she realized she was a meta-human too. Lyn clapped her hand happily. “That`s so awesome Yui! You got to fight, and use your powers to against the bad guys. You`re like a super hero.” Lyn said sincerely. Her eyes filled with admiration. Lyn nodded as she was asked about herself, her life wasn`t as exciting, unless you count as living with four meta-powered younger brothers. “I`m 24, and I was born and raised here in Niwa; me and my parents and four younger brothers. My family as a long history here, although we don`t have much prestige haha” She said laughing embarrassingly. “Oh you mentioned your powers! Guess it would be unfair. I`m a meta-human too! Most of my family are meta-humans!” She said proudly. She held out her hand, and a bright light seemed to surround it before it shattered away like glass; her hand having shifted to a metallic chrome color. “The woman of steel” She added jokingly. Yui let out a small giggle when Lyn took another one. Also, she couldn't help but blush at the fact she called her a real life super hero. People from the military were referenced as hero's everyday, but to be called a SUPER hero; that was new. Rubbing the back of her neck she shook her head with a smile. "I'm no super hero..I was just doing what anyone SHOULD do with my kind of ability." Yui was noble, she didn't like to gloat about her powers or anything that she did while she was at war. If she were to expose sensitive information while gloating about her assignments, she could be arrested and sentenced to a long time in prison. Watching Lyn as she spoke and reached out her arm. Yui was in shock when Lyn showed her arm going into some kind of steel state. Her mouth was dropped and she reached over the table to touch it, but backed away, not knowing if that was to forward or something. "Well..look who is Ms. Superhero." She threw Lyn's compliment back at her. "Sorry, I'm tempted to make a comic book reference here so I'll move on. Since you showed me yours, I'll show you mine." She looked around, noticing a vending machine just across the way and smiled. Going into her bag she picked out a quarter and stood up. "Alright, see that vending machine?" She pulled her arm up and began slowing her breathing down. Her eyes closed...for her time began to slow down. Lining up the shot, her eyes opened and she tossed the quarter as if it were a basketball. Flying through the air, the quarter landed straight into the coin slot on the vending machine. "Oh yeah..haven't done that in years." She plopped back down in her seat and laughed. "Luckily people aren't talking much in here, because they are eating. If I'm to distracted, my mind flip flops a little. Making it a bit harder to do it, and sometimes I'll miss. This is why being a sniper is best suited for me. Not much distractions when you're in the middle of no where." She smiled. "So, your family lives here...lucky for you. Both my moms live in America still..where I grew up. New York City." She picked up her chop sticks and tapped them against the bento box. "I miss them, so much." |

Lyn was mesmerized by her. Lyn was the strongest of her sibling and was after recognition, but Yui was just being modest about it. It… made her even cooler in her eyes. Lyn was the opposite and was usually boastful of her achievements. Not exactly modest, and being boastful was usually a way to boss her little siblings into doing what needed to be done. “You`re right! My parents always taught me we need to be careful about our powers, and we ought to use them to help our friends and defend ourselves, never to attack.... unless provoked” She said proudly. Sadly, Lyn was also quite easily provoked; but it`s alright as long as it wasn`t just for her. Lyn giggled at her reaction. They mostly reacted the same way when she showed it to them. They all wanted to touch and see what it felt like. It was like smooth cold metal. Lyn blushed a bit and smiled brightly. “I know right? Cop felt like it was the best job to use my abilities! Protect the citizens from the bad guys.” She added with a smile. Lyn`s perked up at the idea of a demonstrations, initially thinking she was going to snipe something with her sniper. Here in the police force cafeteria. She watched intently as she took out a coin. Lyn watched as the coin made its way across the room and directly into the vending machine. Lyn was amazed. She turned back to Yui and clapped. “That was amazing Yui!” She said brightly. “I see!” Lyn added as she explained. “I`m similar too! I have to concentrate really hard to turn into metal. A hand is easy, even my arms, but shifting my whole body? It’s rough, plus I get so heavy my feet keep sinking in the ground and I fall” Lyn said embarrassingly. “Aww, It`s pretty cool you have two moms. I sometimes wish I had two moms… Dad was so useless around the house, and it was my and my mum against 5 lazy boys…” She sighed wearily thinking back on those days. “It`s alright Yui! I`m sure you can visit them during your vacation!” She said trying to cheer her up. ”So why did you decide to be a cop in Niwa? Is it because of the meta-criminals?” |

Yui loved the reaction that Lyn was having to her showing her abilities off. Scratching her head she picked up another sushi roll and ate it. Listening in as she spoke to her, Yui was impressed at her abilities to say the least. She was good with hand to hand, but nothing like that. Getting hit by Lyn's arm while in a steel state would be lights out to anyone. Unless they themselves could make their face into some form of metal. Nodding her head, as she explained she could visit her mothers during vacation time she smile. "Yeah, my vacation time can't come soon enough." As the next wave of questions approached Yui rested her hands down in her lap as she sat straight up. It was that military in her, so proper and clean. She didn't curl her back to be more comfortable, keeping her legs crossed like a woman should. Even though she knew she didn't need to be, Yui always felt that the way she was, really defined her as a person. "Well one of my squad members from my unit actually lived here in Niwa.." 'lived' was the key word, Yui had lost many a team member in the fight for her country. "He told me this place was in bad shape, and needed more cops with special abilities like myself to defend it. That, if I were going to fight for something, Niwa was a place to do it." Yui was proud, very proud of what she had accomplished. But she knew there was so much more to do, so many more people to throw behind bars, and a world needing saving. "Niwa is now a city I call home, and I'll be damned if someone tries to destroy my home." She smiled widely. "Now you, have you always wanted to be a cop? From when you realized you had a special gift, was being a cop your first option? Also..." She paused and went into her bag of and pulled out a small box. "I brought some for my partner, but it doesn't look like he is here. So, would you mind sharing these with me?"
