Niwa's Recent News
  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

The car rolled into the parking lot, and Peter couldn't help but laugh when he heard the music coming from inside. "Dear lord, I forgot what they did to the place." He turned to her apologetically, "I had forgotten about pyramid head turning this place into a western bar. Don't worry, you don't have to fit the part to get in."

He didn't reach for her hand to guide her in, but a slight impulse from being so used to taking Amaya out triggered in his head, snuffed before his body could act on it. Walking her up to the door he simply nodded to the bouncer, who knew him well enough to not ask for ID.

The music was louder inside, a drunk Irishman was leading a drinking song and PH was standing behind the bar in a hilarious rendition of a cowboy outfit. They sat at a booth, giving their orders.

He smirked at the fact she was willing to joke. Two stone cold killers laughing over a drink like they were teenagers, it was an odd sensation. Amaya could never go to bars, the empath was always easily overwhelmed by the drunkenness around her and so Peter never got to share a drink with her. Did she even drink? He still didn't know. "Don't let the jealousy overwhelm you now, I know how hard it is to resist a cold blooded scarred up cyclops." Damn it, you can't wink with one eye, you are just fucking blinking at her.

"Yeah, she is. I haven't gotten to see her in a while, work has us separated a lot so we haven't gotten to spend any time together. Once I see her again, I think I'll take her out somewhere nice." It was a nice sentiment, she liked fancy dinners.

The whiskey was getting to her, she certainly wasn't used to the strength of Axel's whiskey. "My question huh? Not sure what to ask, to ask something personal to embarrass you for fun, or actually try to get to know you? Decisions decisions. Hmm, got any family? Boyfriends?"

Yui grinned, running her fingers along the edge of the shot glass, her other hand running throughout her long blonde hair. "The jealousy is to much to bare!" She winked. Her head leaned back a bit and she took in a deep breath as he talked about his girlfriend. It was so adorable, love, the relationship between two people that caused such emotions. Yui had once had a boyfriend, prior to going into the military but broke it off before she left. There was no reason to keep being together with someone...especially not knowing if they'd return or not. Looking at him, she answered his question.

"I have two moms back in the states; I love them to death... No boyfriend to speak of, plus, I could be called back into war any time you know, and being in a relationship only complicates things. You know, the whole don't leave me kind of thing, you may never come back." She said honestly, smiling and laughing. She'd normally not say it, but the alcohol was getting to her. She normally could take down a few drinks, but three shots? They were already beginning to make her think twice about drinking anymore. She composed herself, so that she didn't seem so drunk in appearance. "Come on`, Peter. Drink up. I don't want to look like the only drunken fool tonight!" She laughed and waved over the waitress and asked her to bring them some kamikaze shots, two for each of them.

She was an interesting one alright. "Two moms eh? I knew a couple of young girls that were in love, they were both in the skulk and had found each other after rough lives. The way it ended though..." He trailed off for a moment before composing himself. "Can't be helped now. What was it like growing up like that? I never really had any parental abnormalities so I'm a bit curious."

He chuckled at her side of the story on boyfriends. "Yeah, I can understand that. Don't you get lonely sometimes? Or do you just hit up a random fling to have fun with until you go back?" A bit of a question to either make her blush or quickly defend her modesty, a bit of a test.

"Indeed, you are certainly the more drunk one. I'm a big guy, and I'm used to Axel's home brew. This stuff can knock a horse on its ass so I'm not surprised it is getting to you." He took another shot before she called for more. He was feeling the effects, but not as strongly as she was.

Yui chuckled a bit, abnormality, that was a first. She looked over noticing the waiter getting the drinks she leaned forward, her elbows resting on the table. "It was a great life. I didn't need a father with the two my mothers. Honestly, one of them was like a father in a way, she did sports with me. They both taught me how to cook. I don't think that even if I had a father I would have grown up differently." She smiled sweetly, the one thing that she loved most in this world was her job; the only thing that counter acted that was her love for her mothers.

His question threw her for a loop, lonely? Her reaction to his question would probably shock him. Yui kept calm, not even showing a blush across her face; well beside the one she already had from the alcohol intake. "I do get lonely sometimes, but you've got to understand I've been at war for six years. I haven't really had any time for that." She hinted at the fact she hadn't had male contact in that way for six years. Bringing her hand up she brushed her hair back, running her fingers through it. "Which I'm fine with, a fling here and there is not a bad thing." Laughing she waved over the waiter as he came to them with the drinks.

"Alright. These aren't as strong as that stuff.." She pointed at the whiskey. "But these are delicious, and strong nonetheless, so lets do it!" She raised both shots up into the air. " Too new friendship and partnership!" She took the left and then the right, slamming the glasses onto the table she let out a deep breath and stacked the glasses on top of each other.

"Besides drinking!" She pressed her lips together and let out a hum..."Mmm...what do you like to do for fun?"

Peter leaned forward, listening intently as she spoke. It was actually very interesting, and Peter was the kind of guy who listened when a woman had something to say whether he was trying to sleep with them or not. "So despite them both being women, one still filled the fatherly role. I had never thought of that actually, children need both roles and it seems same sex couples cover it just fine. Excuse my ignorance, I might ask some stupid questions."

Her next answer was a bit of a surprise. "I suppose when all you focus on is war intimacy isn't really on the mind. Though I'm sure you still crave human contact once in a while." He chuckled when she commented on a 'fling here and there.' "Well you'll be safe from that for tonight. It might be a couple months since I last saw her but I do have a woman to answer to."

He grabbed his shots as well when they arrived, echoing her toast before slamming them down. "For fun? It has been a little while since I've had that. I am pretty partial to paintball, physical activity. That is kind of hard to do when you've recently been impaled though." He smirked, decided to cheat a little. "How about you? What do you do for fun?"

Yui chuckled a bit, he didn't know exactly what a sniper is when in battle. They were relatively alone all the time, there was only a few times where snipers would have company, and that was when they weren't on a mission. This, was very little time for Yui. When she was with her squad, yeah of course she thought about it. Her entire squad was smocking hot, hard not to think about it. Just as she is on the job, she was that way at war. The only difference is, out there it was a constant battle field. Even when she was sleeping, war was raging in her head. Her hand ruffled her hair a bit, looking up at Peter and grinning. "Of course I thought about it. I just, couldn't bring myself to act on it." Hopefully he understood, so they could move on.

When he reassured her that a fling wouldn't be happening tonight with them she nodded her head. Yui didn't know how she felt about having that kind of contact with her partner, granted he was good looking, but she'd be afraid they'd feel awkward after a personal thing like that. "You are a good guy Peter, your girlfriend is lucky. But I'm not to worried about anything like that." She was having a difficult time seeing things straight as the alcohol was purely kicking in. She could not stand whatever that stuff that first came out.

Shaking her head to try and concentrate, she answered his question. "I love to dance. I'd dance right now...but this place doesn't seem like the kind of place to dance." She had been here once before, and just had a few drinks. "Plus, I wouldn't want to have to drag you onto the dance floor and make you feel uncomfortable." She teased, sticking her tongue out a bit.

'Man, next time I need to start slower. I'm already seeing double.' She thought trying to keep herself up right in the chair. Normally, Yui was a touch person to get drunk.

Peter shrugged. "Fair enough, best not to take risks of being vulnerable on the battlefield." He would drop it, figuring it wasn't an easy topic for her. He hadn't had many girlfriends back home, either. He was constantly in the thick of things, neck deep in shit that could make a monkey choke. Putting someone else at risk for your own actions was something best left avoided.

He couldn't help but smirk at her comment about Amaya being lucky. "I don't know how lucky she is. She is constantly having to worry if I will come home the next day, or if she will see my body on the news. With the things I do people might go after her, and I always have to worry about if I'll be able to protect her. Mark, Toshi, Soen, Aiko, Amber. All people, most of them not even adults yet, and I couldn't save them. If I get her killed, I don't know what I'll do."

Axel's alcohol was dropping his usual walls, but he caught himself as she started to talk about dancing. He managed a weak laugh. "Believe me, you don't want to try any quick movements after you've had Axel's brew. I'm amazed you can still form words and not vomit at the same time right now."

Yui leaned back against the chair and nodded her head. It was the same way with her, that is why she wasn't looking for someone to have a relationship with. When she cares for someone, she cares way to hard. That if anything would ever happen to them, she wouldn't be able to handle it physically. Especially, if it were in any way her fault. Yui...didn't know if she could mentally be able to handle it. Moving her arms up, she stretched, her shirt pulling up with her arms and exposing her slender waist. "Yeah I feel the exact same way. I say she is lucky because you are loyal." Nodding her head she released her arms to her side and she leaned her head back and giggled.

"Yeah, I couldn't imagine standing up right anyways." Whatever this stuff was, should be illegal in high doses. Her arms swung a bit back and forth, giving her some circulation. "Next time I should start slower. Shots normally don't take this quick of an effect on me. If you weren't such a gentlemen.." she leaned forward, her elbows resting against the table and she lifted her body a bit, her full body pressing against the table. "I'd think you'd be trying to take advantage of me."

Leaning back she laughed, oh man. She already felt she'd regret drinking whatever it was he gave her in the morning. Yui already felt a hang over approaching.

"I'm as loyal as it gets. As many chances as you have given me to look down your shirt, I keep having to pass them up." Peter quipped, teasingly pointing out the cleavage she had been presenting him all night. "I don't think she minds me looking, but I feel bad regardless."

Was she teasing him on purpose? That stretch showed a lot more than he expected to see of her tonight, but her next comment told him why. "Axel is Irish, and is a walking stereotype. If it isn't strong enough whiskey to kill a moose, he doesn't want to drink it. I'm impressed you have held up this well to his special brew." He laughed at her next little joke, the irony of it was amusing. "He uses it on girls he wants to sleep with actually, for some reason the stuff makes girls extra persuadable towards the bed he keeps in the back. Don't worry, even if I was going to try something, it wouldn't be on another man's sex bed."

Yui blushed, and leaned back again, letting out a sigh. She brought her hand up to her forehead and shook it with a laugh. "I'm sorry, Peter." She said seriously, she looked back up at him and had an embarrassed smile across her face. "Maybe it'd be safe to say I should be taken home.." Yui didn't need to embarrass herself anymore then she had already done. Rubbing the side of her neck she looked at the waiter and handed her card to him. "I'll pay for the something..just put..something on the card.." Man she was seeing more then one of each person, she'd need to take some medication before passing out or she would feel the effects of this in the morning. Looking back at Peter she chuckled.

"I hate to be a wuss, you know, but I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of you anymore."
