| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? Yui had probably one of the weirdest nights, she had just got off a case where she needed to bring two people into custody, simple right? Obviously not, when she ran into a man Liam and his robot who had already taken out the two that she had went to retrieve. Moving her hair to the side of her shoulder she sighed, remembering the nights events. All she wanted was a drink, and to relax. Yui had invited that Liam guy to buy her a drink for keeping her mouth shut, which she would hope he'd keep his word. Going back to the office and not saying anything about the assignment was a bit difficult to say the least, but she did keep her promise not to say anything. She didn't put much thought into her outfit, she wore a simple black skirt and a red silk top that was cut to about her hips in length. When her arms would stretch over her head, it would expose a bit of her slender stomach. She clung to a small black purse and she wore cute black sandals that were flat. Making her way to the bar she sat down and brushed her fingers throughout her hair and sat her purse down. Her long legs crossing over each other, and her elbow leaning against the bar she waved over the bartender. "White Russian, please." She sighed and looked around the lounge, this was a nice quiet place...not really her scene, she loved the night life. Dancing and all that. But it would be nice to have a calm couple of drinks. Maybe move on to a more, energetic place, later in the night. Edited by Aurora, Oct 26 2012, 03:18 AM.

Yui watched as he got up and got away, kind of looking around confused at first, but just picked up her drink and took a sip. That would have been the first time a guy walked away from her; how interesting. As he came back, Yui grinned and shook her head softly. "You going to buy me this new bike then Liam?" She didn't have the heart to tell him that it was her mothers that bought the bike for her. It was a graduation gift, even if she didn't get to drive it much cause she went straight into the military. When she was younger, Yui always had this dream about wearing a black leather suit like catwoman and stepping off a bike and pulling her helmet off, and shaking her thick head of hair everywhere. She totally has done it...many times. "Ahh, I knew it looked somewhat familiar.." she didn't want to admit that's what it looked like, but when he confirmed her thoughts she smiled. "I remember playing A Link to the Past when I was a little girl. My favorite was the one on the N64, uh.." She thought for a second, it had been a while. It released in the late in the 90's..."Oh! Right, Ocarina of Time. Had to be my favorite. Lately though, I haven't got the time to play or even keep up with them sadly. Lost all of that interest when I went into the military. More of a comic book fan myself." Yui smiled and sat the empty glass down on the bar, she let her fingers roll around the edge of the glass before she spoke again. "I've wanted to get a tattoo, just haven't decided what I'll be getting." She smiled. "The symbolic nature of The Triforce for Cerberus was a very good idea, Liam. Props for that." "Oh! Before I forget..." She waved the bartender and ordered two shots of their best vodka, and turned back towards Liam. "I am a woman, with taste. Don't forget that." She winked. Yui had a thing for nerds, it didn't help his case that he was handsome, she had to make sure she kept her starring to a minimum. Did want him thinking she was 'checking him out'. |

I ain't buyin' you shit... Memory served, she was 24. Wasn't even alive when the first game came out. And her favorite of them all was Ocarina of Time? Guffaw; mainstream little harpie. 100 yen she played Pokemon, too. "You ain't a woman until you've grown out of the 'hanging out at night clubs' phase. Look around." Most of the crowd around them was younger folk; Liam and the bartender, being the oldest two in the room, by the looks of it. "Secondly... Ocarina of Time was not the strongest game in the series. Now, I will agree; for the time, the graphics were sound, the audio track underneath was riveting - but seriously, a mysterious mummy-lookin' mother-fucker ends up being Zelda? What, she learned to be a freakin' ninjamagician cooped up in the castle? Please. And then she's just "Oh, thanks Link, peace out", and sends him back in time. Then you lose Navi - though, thank God for that. Honestly, Majoras Mask was the better of those two. Darker, gripping, more mature; but the best game in the whole set? Their latest one. Skyward Sword. Now I'm not a wii fan, but that shit was dope. Very well done, nice graphic style - you leave here, you take your half-a-moped out to a videogame store, and you go get it. Now, as far as comic books go..." The young man was apparently in full-geek mode. "When Gavin and I first started The Jedi..." He shook his head, taking another sip, then rolled his eyes. "He dressed up as Fantomex. I mean..why? Guy was useless. I always compare him to Juggernaut, myself - but we're both big Deadpool fans. Now what kindsa comics are you into? Dora the Explorer? My little Pony?" |

Yui's eyes squinted a bit, and her lip curled up; giving a curious look at Liam. His attractiveness was going down and quick from his responses. Before she got a word out, he was talking about Zelda again. She didn't at all mind talking about video games, but there was one thing she didn't care for: judgement. If he was listening, she did say it was her favorite, not the best. Leaning her body onto the bar, she leaned her head against her hand and listened to him speak. Man he talked a LOT, Yui wasn't one to tell someone to be quiet, because it was rude. Liam must have loved to hear his own voice. The shots arrived and Yui wasted no time taking it down. Shaking her head, letting it burn down her throat she turned to Liam as he began talking about comic books! Where her strong point was, and before she spoke she had to listen to him basically insult her. My little pony? Dora the Explorer? What the heck were those things? They sounded like child shows. "Do I make you think of a child?" She leaned her head to the side, and question him. "Honestly, I don't really know what those are." She was serious, like way to serious. "I'll ignore you assuming that I'm some child and respond to your question. Zombie Marvel Comic's have been my favorite but those are more recent. I have always loved both Marvel and DC comics. Deadpool comics have been one of my top picks for Marvel, Batman being my top pick on DC. Just recently.." She ran her fingers through her hair and rolled her head around. "I've been reading the Walking Dead comics." She already knew that she was going to get shit for this, so she was prepared. |

Well she got grumpy fast. Now...Liam was never a natural when it came to reading people's body-language. He didn't grow up in a broken home, it wasn't something he had to be on the lookout for. Receptors, indicators... this was something he learned later in his life. One of his old flings had mentioned it off-hand, said it helped read her clients, helped her get her way. He invested in half a dozen books and tapes, and had to admit; it did help. It's all there, if you know what you're looking for. Someone crossing their arms and leaning back; defensive stance. Nervous. Leaning forward, open eyes; interest. Dilated pupils? Excitement. It's the same reason smart folk wear sunglasses when making big purchases. Don't let 'em know you're interested. It also showed all over her face she'd become disinterested with their interaction; and quickly. She'd been sending off positive signals since he sat down. Eyeing him, leaning in, mirroring his body language subconsciously, ordering the same drink; but now? Eh. Maybe she just didn't have a thing for nerds. Or Geeks. Maybe the military beat it out of her. Who knew. Maybe it's 'cause I've been rude?...Nah. Without responding, Liam set down his drink and tugged the lei off from around his neck; slipping it down over hers before she could protest. That part wasn't so bad - it was when he grabbed the end of it and pulled her closer that was unique; leaning over and kissing her, once. On the cheek. (sry yui :P) With a smirk, he let go, put a few bills on the bar - for their drinks, and tip, and turned heel, after a simple message; "I better get back to it. But if you ever need any work done...Let me know. Happy to help the Niwa City's Police Department." What a strange man. |

Yui's eyes went wide as Liam came forward and planted a kiss against her cheek. Her cheeks flushed a bit red and her hands clinched into a ball. As he pulled away and said he had to get going, she instantly felt bad. He must have seen the attitude switch in her demeanor, which wouldn't be hard to see, but still. She didn't think he'd be so sensitive to it, seeing as though he was being a bit of a douche bag to her. Either way, Yui was feeling horrible about it. She gave the cut off signal to the bartender and slipped out of her seat, pulling down her skirt she rushed behind Liam. "Hey, hey wait.." She put her hand out and rested it onto his shoulder. "I'm sorry..I didn't mean to seem like I was losing interest in the conversation or trying to be rude." She moved in front of him and let her shoulders shrug. Sighing softly she raised her hand to the back of her neck, and rubbed it. "I don't take things lightly, it has to be the military in me. Verbally I may not be mean, but posture wise its difficult for me to hide how I'm feeling." She chuckled. "Either way, I'm sorry Liam." She walked past him and turned quickly, giving him a peck on the cheek before winking at him. "See ya` around" With that, Yui headed towards the elevator that would take her down to the parking garage. Pressing the button for the elevator she smiled, and waited for it to get to the floor. |
