Niwa's Recent News
  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

Yui needed a night to just take a break from the rush of the city. She had been taking mission after mission for the NCPD and needed a break. When she heard that there was a Night Club that was popular in the city, she couldn't pass up the opportunity to check it out. Yui stepped through the security at the front door after showing her ID to them, and went straight to the dance floor. She didn't need to get liquored up to have a good time, and she needed to get into that mosh pit of sweat and energy. She wore a tight red dress that hugged her hips, flowing down her thighs and stopping just about mid thigh. The problem with her was that she was extremely tall, so any dress she bought was already immediately to short. Her hair was down tonight, nice and curled as it bounced along side her arms and down her back, her make up simple not to crazy. She didn't need to put it on like that, she felt she had natural beauty, not to be covered up by the mess of cosmetics. Her nails were done along with her toes, which could be seen through her opened toed flats.

The music was already blasting by the time she entered the nightclub, the beat already sending her body into motion as she made it to the dance floor. 'Just one song..then the bar..' Yui made it to the dance floor, and instantly being grabbed in different directions. She loved to dance, so being pulled into a close proximity to someone to dance was no problem for her. Her hips swayed with the music, and her shoulders roll with her movements. Yui's legs spread apart as she bent her knees very slightly, her back rolling around with the sound of each beat hitting the air. Her back was pressed tightly against the man behind her, her arm raising and curling around his neck. Swaying her hips from side to side, she danced to the song like no other. It wasn't long before more people joined in to dance with her, but once the song was over she pushed aside from them and headed towards the bar.

Yui finally made it to the bar and took a stand, her hand raising to get the bartenders attention she spoke with a laugh. "Vodka cranberry please, with the good stuff!" Her smile was wide across her face, that was something never seen on the job. She was having a great time, even if she was alone. Yui always prided herself that she didn't need anyone to have a good time, as long as she had music, a dance floor, and alcohol she was good to go!

His reacts to her talking was priceless, and it really did make her smile. She was very underestimated as being a tall, blonde, beautiful woman. No one would ever peg her to be a sniper or, for that matter, a cop. Her career choice wasn't her mothers favorite thing, but they understood and supported her wholeheartedly. Which she loved them for it. Back to the conversation, Yui responded.

"Ah, yes. John Jay College, I've heard of the place. Been past it a few times. I lived in Queens, but spent a lot of time downtown. My grandmother owned a small bakery near central park." Yui smiled. "I visited very often." She wouldn't bring down the mood by mentioning she lost her grandmother during the attack, but moved on.

"September 11th is what gave me the motivation to go into the Military. With my special skill, I knew I could make a difference in the war. Which I did, I think at least. I was awarded a Medal of Honor for my last mission in Iraq." Yui was very proud, but wasn't boastful. She didn't like to brag, but mentioning one of many accomplishments in her career wasn't a bad thing, right?

Yui couldn't explain it, but talking to him felt very easy, and it was very nice to have that feeling.

"Wow, I'm impressed. Definitely impressed with the medal, for sure, but I think my gut is more impressed by the fact that it's eaten at a place owned by your grandmother."

Daichi did have a soft spot for the sweets, but Daichi's gut didn't show this at all. In fact, underneath his shirt, his chest was pretty well packed together with muscle and a bit of hair. Daichi always made it a habit to stay physically fit, more so after his fateful encounter back in Tokyo. But man, did Daichi love the sweet stuff back when he was in college. Thinking back on it, Daichi had to wonder how he never gained two hundred pounds in a week and why he was still as physically healthy as he was.

"How long have you been here, though? In Niwa?"

Yui nodded her head, her grandmother really did make the best sweets. She had taught Yui a couple of things too, so luckily for her sweets was one of her better dishes. "They were pretty amazing tasting, she taught me a few things. I'll have to bring some by one day for you to try." She wasn't flirting, nooo, not at all. Okay, well maybe a little but Yui really did love to cook, and sweets was one of those big ones she was proud of. Just the other day she brought some for her and her partner Peter, but since he was no where to be found she shared them with a rookie cop named Lyn.

As he continued away from the subject of sweets, Yui began to ponder on how long she had been there. Maybe a month? Or a month and a half? Yui had forgotten, the time she had been here was very mashed together. "I'm going to guess, and say about a month I think. I'm relatively new to Niwa actually." She turned her body a bit, facing him fully and crossed her legs. She tugged down her dress and rested her elbow against the table, and set her head into her hand.

"The reason I asked if you were from America, was because of your build." She finally got the guts to say it out loud. "You are very muscular and big for someone living in Japan." She smiled sweetly, not trying to be insulting at all to him, she actually liked the fact he was bigger then the average person. "You must work out daily, to keep such a good body. I'm jealous, to say the least, I wish my arms would get bigger. I'd probably be stronger if they would."

"That...would be awesome."

Daichi smiled at her mentioning to bring some sweets by him one day, whenever that day may be, and he couldn't help but feel good. It may have had something to do with how much he had to drink earlier tonight, but right now he didn't figure it would be too much of a problem for him to function or make an ass out of himself. Yui was an extremely nice girl, and beautiful to boot, it had been a long time since he'd actually felt this good in somebody else's presence. How long was this going to last?

"Yeah, I try to work out every day. You never know what you're going to run into, particularly in my line of work."

Seeing his response to the sweets offering Yui smiled back and nodded her head.

Yui couldn't agree more when it came to his statement. After 9/11 Yui trained everyday, making sure that her body was in tip top shape for her to join the military. When she first met a recruiter, they actually laughed at her. Even though she stood six feet tall, and had a slender body frame, the fact she was blond haired, blue eyed beauty, they almost shot her down. Luckily for her she was given the opportunity to show them how proficient she was with a gun, and how perfect her accuracy was. She had never shot a gun prior to that; her Hyperkinetics kicked in and showed off to perfection.

"Agreed. At least when I was at war, it was mandatory we kept in shape. You know." She chuckled. She wanted to get more drinks, so she began sliding around out of the booth. "I'll be right back. Going to get us a drink." Normally, its the guy that gets the drink, but again, Yui wasn't one to wait for a guy to do anything she could do herself. Sliding out of the booth she stood up straight, pulling down her dress she began walking towards the bar.

Through the crowd she made her way to the bar and ordered bottle service to their table. Ordering a bottle of ciroc and headed back to the table.

Finally making her way to the table she brushed her hair to the side and sat back down, scooting over in the booth she took a deep breath. "Man there are so many people here." She stated. "They are going to bring a bottle over here for us." She adjusted herself again, and crossed her legs.

"So on to the next question, why are you here alone Daichi?" It was curious, a good looking man, drinking alone at such a busy nightclub. Yui was very very, curious.

"Alright, I'll be here."

Watching Yui walk away was one of the more pleasant, and more obvious instances, of Daichi staring at a woman's ass when she walked away from him. When he couldn't see her anymore, Daichi let out a sigh before ran his right hand through his hair, feeling only slight traces of sweat along his forehead. It was hard not to picture Yui now, though, she made a huge impression on him within only minutes of meeting her. When she returned, Daichi smiled and nodded before he stopped at her question.

"I...I may have been here longer than you have, but I don't have many friends. So, here I am. Alone."

His face stood still, the pain of acknowledging how alone he actually felt only beginning to settle in.

Probably not the best question to ask him, as she saw the reaction he had after his response. Sliding over a bit closer to him, she put her hand onto his shoulder and smiled sweetly.

"Hey, I came here alone too you know?" She let out a small laugh. "Think about it though, because you were alone I approached you. Know you have a friend!" Yui was a ball of optimism, that was one of her stronger suits. Though, if she were to meet Daichi on the job, he'd probably not see her the same as he did now. He may, actually, not find her as attractive. Her attitude while she was on the job wasn't to ... pleasing. Yui was very professional, but when it came to times like this she loved to let loose and have some fun. Meet great people, like she had done tonight.

Seeing a waitress approaching, she waved her hand in the air. Crossing over her other leg now, Yui's leg was relatively close to Daichi's. She thanked the waitress as she sat the bottle down with a couple shot classes, and some limes.

Yui leaned over the table and brought over the bottle and poured them both a shot and handed him one and smiled. "To a great night and new friends, yes?"

Was he really that easy to see through?

Daichi had to wonder if Yui had an easy time seeing through his troubles, how perceptive were others about what happened inside his head. Daichi thought of a few other people, including his little brother Takashi, and wondered how easy it was for them to see what had been done to them. Yui was quick to rescue herself, and subsequently him, from the despair that he briefly felt. He took the shot, nodded to the toast, and took it back. For that brief moment, when that shot was taken back, Daichi could feel himself relax a little more. Maybe a little more was what he needed...

"To new friends."

Daichi faintly smiled and nodded, his eyes drifting on to Yui and her eternally happy face.

Yui smiled sweetly, she hoped that she didn't upset him. By the half cocked smile on his face, though, she may have done just that. Though, right when he took the shot he seemed to be more relaxed, just in how his body slanted a bit, she took hers right after his. A hissing noise came from her lips as she took the shot down, and looked at Daichi. His eyes were starring right at her, her blue sapphire eyes starring right back. She didn't mean to be upsetting, and she felt really bad.

"Daichi, ask me any question that you'd like. Anything at all." She brought a bright smile back to her face. Hoping some how to cheer him up.

Yui hated making people upset, unless they deserved it, but Daichi didn't deserve anything like that. He seemed sweet, and cute-ta-boot, why would someone like him be alone? She didn't mean it as an insult, more of a 'I'm surprised someone like you is alone here' kind of thing. She hoped that she could bring his bright smile, and happy attitude back.

"Okay...hmm..."

Now, this was a bit of a puzzling moment. Did she actually mean any question that he wanted? Or was this leading towards something else entirely? Either way, Daichi couldn't think of a single question to ask her to save his own life. With interrogations, he knew the play by play, he knew when to ask the right questions and how in order to get people to talk to him. Granted, it didn't always work, but it doesn't always work because some people don't open up to too much provocation. Maybe something simple was the way to go for now...

"What's your favorite food?"
