| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? Anja had never been to the theme park that was located on the island off of Niwa and was taking in the sights that surrounded her. It was such a cheerful place and thankfully wasn't too crowded despite the nice weather. It was just a warm enough that she didn't need a coat with a lovely cool breeze. Even though it wasn't that cold she had on a long sleeved white and black striped dress. She had bought it just for this day seeing as she didn't own very many feminine articles of clothing. The desire to dress up and look nice was a new feeling but not entirely unwanted. She felt..pretty. It was a nice change of pace. She sat down on one of the provided benches as she waited for Takashi to show up and watched the people milling about the park entrance.

Takashi couldn't remember the last time he'd been to a theme park. Everything had felt familiar, as if he had been to one before when he was younger, but he just couldn't place where he had gone or who he ended up going with. The crowds of people and families together for a day of fun at the amusement part was something that Takashi took a lot of pride in seeing, but wondered why he had seen so little in the way of security around the park. No police as far as he could see, which meant that either they didn't want to be seen or couldn't because they weren't actually there. This part of Takashi's brain was always on, particularly in crowds of innocent people like this, but it had shut off for a moment when he had seen Anja for the first time. She looked lovely. Takashi, on the other hand, looked like he usually did with the exception of wearing a navy blue dress shirt without the use of a tie around his neck. His badge and gun were also no longer on display (but that didn't mean he didn't have them with him), which made him for the most part look like an overly dressed man with long hair tied behind his head. Takashi smiled before approaching Anja, the woman he'd call his date. "Hey there. Long time no see." ...was this a joke? Takashi meant for it to sound like a joke, but the tone of his voice suggested a bit of nervousness. |

Her head turned when she heard the sound of his voice. Her eyes looked him over as she smiled. He looked as handsome as he always did, a little less casual then the other people around the park. It would have been odd to see him in shorts and a tshirt though. This suited him and looked good as well. Anja finally dragged her eyes back up to his face and smiled at the slightly nervous look on his face. It was a mutual feeling. She couldn't even remember the last time she had gone on a date, and she had never dated a co worker. She really hoped that didn't cause any troubles down the road. It was kind of early too be thinking about that kind of thing though. For now all she wanted to do was enjoy her time with him and get her mind off of work for awhile. "I guess so. It's nice to see you outside of work finally. I've actually been looking forward to this for awhile" She stood up from the bench she was sitting on and smoothed down her dress nervously. |

"I'm glad to hear it. Truth be told, I could use a day out as well." Takashi had also been looking forward to their first little "date" for a while, but putting it into words was one of the more difficult things Takashi was having a hard time with at the moment. The other thing was being out here, socially speaking, with the same woman who was handling the matter of his involvement in a shooting while on duty. It wasn't easy separating his work like and his personal life, and for the most part both of those were the exact same thing for Takashi. It was only at this moment when he realized that, from the very beginning, both lives were better off at separate ends of his spectrum. ...but maybe, just maybe, things could work out where both could be fine together. For once. "You look lovely." |

"I would imagine so. You look so serious all the time. Not that I'm any better" She was suddenly regretting her choice to wear a dress on this little outing. There was nowhere for her to put her hands so she was just nervously picking at her fingernails. It didn't match her usual confidence at all and she was suddenly annoyed at herself for getting so worked up. It was just Takashi. They had gotten along well enough when they had met before. They were going to have a good time, ride some rides, play dumb carnival games, and maybe get some overpriced and over greasy food. She clasped her hands behind her back and blushed faintly at his compliment, her smile brightening. "Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself." She turned towards the park and looked back at him "What would you like to do first? I've never actually been to a park like this. Never ridden a roller coaster or anything" |

"I don't have much experience with places like these either, so..." Takashi paused for a second, wondering how he was going to approach the theme park. The prospect of going onto the biggest, baddest roller coaster was a bit frightening to Takashi, but he figured that doing the fastest most nerve wracking thing in the park first would be the best idea. That way, the two of them could settle down and ease their way into the rest of the date knowing that the worst, most embarrassing moments were potentially behind them (but mostly him). Actually, the more he thought about it, the more sure he was that this would be the best course of action. "...let's do the biggest, baddest thing the park can throw at us first." |

Anja gave a nod and looked around the large park that surrounded them. There was a big and terrifying looking roller coaster standing in a far corner of the park. Even from their current location she could hear the muffled screams of fear and excitement. That seemed like as good as place as any to start. She pointed to it and smiled at her date. "That big and bad enough for you? It would be a good idea to do any rides like that before we get anything to eat. I have a weak stomach when it comes to going fast" She started toward the ride, keeping a slow pace so the two of them could chat as they walked. It felt slightly surreal to be walking through the bright park with Takashi. She had gotten so used to just seeing glimpses of him while they were both busy working. Being out of the workplace and having her attention finally focused completely on him was a nice change of pace. |
