| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? Topic is closed.2206 hours. Tuesday. The East Side. 104th St. Outside the Jag-Eun Agma Restaurant. "Assassination has never changed the history of the world." "Greed. You're gonna put that new spotting scope to good use. You've heard of Kim Doo Han, yeah? Leader of the Gong Ja Kal. He's been hanging out around his restaurant in Korea town lately, but he's been known to roam around the city. No one has come up with a pattern yet for his movements - he's not busy enough for a schedule. I need you to put a nail in the GJK's coffin - and a bullet through his head. If you can, make it look like it was a hit performed by either the Yakuza or the Triads. It'll spur them on, thinking they're trying to take over the GJK's turf." That was some time ago. Long enough for Greed to sort through the data. Get himself prepared. When Pride mentally wrangled up this mission, this one in particular, he was taking a risk - asking Koji to take the life of another human being... one he didn't even know. Gavin knew it was a lot to ask. Too much... He didn't know if the young man had ever taken a life before. It wasn't fair, really. But hey... he knew what he was signing up for, right? He knew what Cerberus was, who they were, what they wanted. But hey, if he and his partner could pull this off, it could only get better, right? Jumping in feet first might be the best thing for them... We'd find out today. |

"Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted." Koji laughed to himself. He stood attop a building across the street from the Jag-Eun Agma. It was the perfect position. The fact that the building also belonged to the GJK made it even better. Walking through the building wouldn't have worked, they were smart enough to keep it locked down, but that didn't mean anything to Koji. He'd been careful to travel through power lines instead of through the air. It wouldn't do to have them spotting his lightning and investigating the rooftop. As a result their phone lines would be out. Maybe the cable too. Someone was missing Mad Men... He raised the spotting scope to his eye, sighting their target. He'd been sitting on the rooftop for hours. Even with the careful study of his movements they'd only been able to narrow down the time he would be at the restaurant to a period of six hours. That meant stake out. That meant boredom. And Koji was the one who had to keep an eye out. He was the spotter. Damn his ability to reach high places! Bellow stood Kim Doo Hwan, casual and relaxed. He was guarded of course, but that didn't mean anything to a sniper. And Kim wasn't expecting a sniper. Why should he? The GJK were barely a threat to anyone. Well, to any of the gangs anyway. But to the people of the city they were menace just like all the other gangsters. That's why Cerberus was doing this. "Requiescat in pace." He said, grinning. He held the bangle up close to his face and spoke into the receiver. "Target sighted, are you in position?" He was contacting his partner for the mission. Sybil. He didn't know much about her, but they'd agreed that it would be best to occupy two different positions, in order to get a broader view of the area. Furthermore, they wouldn't be caught together if something went wrong or the Gong Jal Ka retaliated. Edited by KingCannon, Oct 22 2012, 10:52 PM.

Bloody Escort business of hers. Actually, she should come up with another code word for her real job before people got the wrong idea. Good thing she didn't actually ever speak aloud about this. that saved a lot of trouble. It hadn't been a very precise window of time, which meant no time to risk. Different perch points had been set up and she had chosen one on the opposite side, staying as casual as possible, and more importantly, trying to stay comfortable. Six hours was not the longest she'd been here, but that didn't make it any less boring. "Aye, about five and hay hours longer than I'd like to have been." Still, their target was in sight now, and she settled herself down for a more serious business. This wAS her business after all More than wiping out bangs, that part was just catharsis, of sorts. Penance of others. Whatever it was, it wasn't her real work, this was. Ending a life. It ran in her blood deeper than she had ever thought possible, but unlike others, even if she tried, she couldn't expunge this... even if her thoughts forgot, the dead did not, and they did not like to be silent on the matter. She blew a lock of her blond hair back as she settled down with absolute focus. She didn't seem grumpy however, merely focused. Dressed in casual, but dark coloured clothes, she was ready to blend into a crowd at a moments notice. Especially with a bright scarf tucked away in a pocket, and a wig. She had contingency plans amoung contingency plans. Getting caught, was not something she liked. that got really messy. Eyes on the prize, gal. A lively blue zeroed inthrough the scope. "Got a plan knockin' about or jus' wait for a crystal shot?" Edited by Tempest Atiri, Oct 23 2012, 12:44 AM.

Koji chuckled at Sybil's somewhat blunt response. This would be good fun. She seemed the competent type, and she was prepared for any outcome. That was good, that meant he didn't have to worry about her when things inevitably went to shit. He didn't mind watching out for others, he was a hero after all. But if she didn't need saving all the better. Besides, all he really had to do was watch and confirm the kill. He'd had harder jobs. More hands on jobs. "We can't waste too much time. I doubt he'll be walking all the way home." He took a slow, steady, focused breath, searching about with his scope to make sure there was nothing he had missed. Finally he settled back on Do Hwan. "When you're ready, give me a count down, then take the shot." Something Nathan had taught him recently. A bit of advice to go along with the gift of the spotter's scope. Synchronize. Know when your partner is going to shoot. Be aware of ever aspect. That way, when things go bad, you'll know why. He laughed again. For some reason he kept thinking things would go poorly. |

Who was worried about babysitting who here? Ideally, know two adults should really ever have to be concerned about babysitting each other. Of course, ideally, this sort of situation never really arose. The British woman simply hummed the slightest bit into the bangle. "One way flight to his new one though." She could see nothing that was sending up any particular red flags. Her aim adjusted carefully before he bid her to set the count off and she smirked quietly to herself. The surprise kills were always interesting. Especially the ones in public. At least they had waited for relative nightfall.... no purely innocent civilians at night. "Seven." She had her reasons for starting there. Not ten, not 5.... not that any reason in the world really mattered. "Six." Things could go poorly if they wanted. Fate was fate. "Five." Nobody cared if things didn't go according to plan here, as long as the end result was acquired. "Four." Her words were clear, concise, and almost unaccented. As short as the syllable was, it was hard to think of it having an odder sound. "Three." Tension in the body now as her muscles braced for kickback, her mind whirred into high gear, and her quiet what ifs were shot down by the professional within. "Two." Last breath, don't hold it in. "One." CRACK in the air. BANG in the ear. Breath. |

Blood splattered the side of the building and men's faces. Do Hwan went down. There was no stunned silence, no looks of horror. Just men panicking and fearing for their own lives. Do Hwan's bodyguards dived for cover, drawing weapons. Their leader was dead, they couldn't protect him now. As they reacted thoughts raced through their heads. Who was next? Could they avenge him? Courage and fear mixed and slowed their movements. Koji spied from above with his scope, smiling at a job well done. Kim Do Hwan lay on the ground, unmoving. Blood pooled around his head. The splatter was enough indication, but it was best to be sure. "Kill confirmed." Koji rose, tightening his scarf to ward off the autumn air. He could hear the ant's nest bellow him stir as men began to shout and run about. Thunder cracked and lightning flashed but there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Koji was already halfway across the city, ready to report in to whomever was in charge of things while Nathan was away. --- Abe watched with perpetually narrowed eyes as Kim do Hwan fell to the ground. He'd set up a comfortable position to shoot from, far away, farther than would be expected for a sniper in a city. His M21 was situated in front of him on, propped against his shoulder and resting on the ledge of the building. He had seen the young man watching the Restaurant and the would be sniper, but too late to intervene. They'd taken his kill. But that was alright. He flipped open his cell and dialed a number without looking. He didn't keep any contacts listed, preferring to commit the numbers to memory. He also erased his phone's memory every week or so. "Hello, this is Shingo!" A too friendly voice responded over the phone. "Inform the Takeda that Kim Do Hwan is dead." He didn't bother saying his name. "Sure thing boss." Shingo hung up without waiting for further instructions. That was the way of it with them. Abe heard the crack of thunder and caught the flash of light out of the corner of his eye. The young man was gone. He turned his sights on the sniper. She was still there, but he imagined she wouldn't be for long. "Benkei, follow her. Keep your distance." The ghostly white wolf materialized before him. He could sense her consternation. She'd rather be hunting than spying. Still, she followed orders, calling back as she leaped away. "I'll do as you say, boss." |

With the sound of the gunshot finally faded, the next sound heard was the sharpness of a ravens caw. Her breath had gone at the same time as the last of her targets. She didn't have time to linger. She couldn't turn into a ball of lightning and zip off. She did immediately drop out of sight however. Done. No time to waste. There would be a bit of time while the chickens below tried to find their own heads again, now that their leader had been cut off. Disappeared, she did, settling herself down out of her perch and settling into the nightlife again. The red plaid scarf was bright, and blended nicely into her tan coat. She certainly didn't look like a killer in disguise, not even with a non descript, vaguely instrument shaped case slung over her shoulder. the raven fluttered high in the streets, chattering occasionally in a way that only Sybil ever seemed to understand, unfortunately. "You know you have a responsibility for that soul, yes?" "Aye." "Well then-" "I also have a responsibility to be smart about that. we'll track that stiff later, walking in there right now is fool's errand." Before too long however, street smarts tingled, and the cries of Morrigan took on a far more important tilt. "We have a visitor....a yippy one." "Indeed." Sybil's steps slowed a bit, but otherwise she showed no reaction. Morrigan took flight. "Its keeping further away than most....I think it might be-" "Stalking.... not puppydogging.... grand..." Adrenaline again, as she wondered. She didn't like the concept of dogs following her, but this one was worse than most. This one seemed to have a brain about it. Her direction changed, rather than heading home, she ducked into one of the still active bars. Different district of town, time to lay low for a bit...and see if she could ditch this tail as well. |
