| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? "Don't slack off! We ain't got all day!" the low hum of KANG's voice rang loud in the ears of Suka and Aeolus. His massive size and stature made him seem like a hulk. His biceps and triceps bulged as he grabbed hold of a big stack of nets. Kang was a strong man, and it was entirely possible that without him, Pai would have to hire a whole new group of people just to replace the amount of labor that Kang put in to the ship. The sweat was what made him proud--happy. He was a hard worker, and it everyone suddenly would stop being on break once this man entered the room. He held an aura of productivity and 100% effort, and it spread like wildfire. His eyes darted over to the corner where Suka and Aeolus were supposed to be working. He had given them the simple job of moving crates into the ship, as the weather was rumored to be worse much later. So everyone on the ship was scrambling to pack things tight and make sure everything was securely fastened. "You two tired yet?" Kang laughed, placing the nets beneath the machine while others ran to Kang's side. They quickly went to work into detangling it and assembling it. Edited by MaKeNsHiZeRo, Oct 19 2012, 04:26 PM.

The giant was turned into a heaping pile of jelly the moment the horn sounded. The feeling of the small girl latched onto Kang's hardened arms made the man want to scream at the heavens and take on the gods--he felt invincible. Suddenly, Kang--with his terrible excuse of long flowy hair--imagined himself and this Suka at the front bow of the ship, donned in black and white. He in a tuxedo and her in a white dress. Of course, her badass tattoos would be perfectly framed by her dress along with her tight little package. Pai and the rest of the crew would be there, swearing and throwing rice over the two as they walked up to get married. This man clearly had problems. He was broken. He managed to snap back to reality. "Yeah, we're family alright. A big and strong one at that, you know!" Kang felt like he was being attacked by Suka, but couldn't explain why he raised his voice. "What about your boss, huh? The one throwin' up his whole body into the damn sea. How can you expect us to trust a guy like that? We're no triads, but we know about it. Why's a young guy like him leading one of the major groups of Niwa? What's to say he won't be throwing us to the curb to rise in the ranks, huh?" It was all such a random thought process for Kang, but he blurted out the worded vomit out at Suka, hoping for some sort of reaction--any. Could it be that Kang was wrong? The Tai Yeung did seem like family--the way these foreigners all came together and support a cause that was primarily for the Chinese community in Niwa, it made Kang curious. Well, he also was developing the biggest crush on Suka, so that was definitely a bonus. |

It sounded pretty dumb to her that they would judge him just based off his weak stomach and age but Suka knew how the game was. Everyone had an image to uphold and any appearance of weakness made an impact on how people judged him. IT wasn't fair but it was the truth and there was no changing that. She would just have to convince this man that Jin was the wonderful leader she knew he was. "He's not used to the tossing waves like you are and just because he's young doesn't mean anything. Older isn't always better, you need new and fresh blood to see things differently. Change can be a good thing you know. About tossing you to the side..Jin isn't like that. He's an honorable man and if he gives you his word he means it. I wish you could see the Triad the way I do. Not everything is so black and white..especially in this kind of city" She sighed as they finally made it into the safe and almost dry quarters. It was frustrating to try and get him to see her way. IT was like the right words were alluding her and she was jumbling everything up into a big mess. She knew that a lot was riding on this and she didn't want Jin to be disappointed in her for failing. That would be the worst thing that could happen. He was always nice but what if he punished her in some way? |
