  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

Man, that encounter with the samurai at the University sure was bizarre! Who knew Yang had that in her! You should've been there.

In the aftermath, Yang and Fanny headed over to L'avenir, Fanny hoping to recover from the series of events that led her to this point. She was taking precaution to ensure she doesn't reveal to Yang that she's really Steve Butts. For one, that seemed like a really bad idea. Yang helped Fanny and was even friendly to her. Fanny wasn't going to jeopardize that. But two, revealing her identity might also take away the chance of, you know, getting it on with Yang later. Fanny always wanted to leave that option available to her.

A still-soggy Fanny entered the science-fiction themed hang-out spot. The only thing stranger than her oversized-clothes was all the over-the-top sci-if themed decorations and decor, not that the youthful patrons even noticed. Her face contorted in confusion, not sure if she was comfortable here.

"What the hell is this place?"

"That thing you do where you freak out about every little thing is cute." Yang said candidly while she tried to get the attention of some waiting staff or the barrister. They'd been waiting at the entrance for some few minutes now, and the Tai Yeung Princess was growing impatient. "Keep doing that, maybe it'll get us a booth."

Upon setting her eyes on the girl, Yang could tell the tshirt was still pretty wet. Wet enough to see she wasn't wearing a bra. What kind of girl doesn't wear a bra?! Especially with gazongas THAT developed. How did she even manage to survive in a neighborhood like this up till now?

"So tell me Fanny-chan," They'd exchanged names on the way over. "You got any brothers or sisters?"

The scrawny Chinese girl peered over down at her from the barrel of her sharp nose.

"What, really?" Fanny happily asked, really excited by the idea of being complimented -- not scowled at -- but really, legitimately complimented by Yang. Except Fanny realized the context of the compliment was towards her female form. And she raised an eyebrow.

"Freaking out over everything? What'dya mean? And why should I keep doing it?!"

Suddenly, a waiter finally noticed her outburst.

"I'm sorry, ladies," he inquired, "have ya'll been helped?"

"Wait..." Fanny realized that Yang's suggestion actually worked. "No."

"For two?" the waiter asked, grabbing two menus. He led them through the arcade and massive spaceship and alien decorations to the cafe. It wasn't until Fanny neared the cafe that she noticed the waiter looking over his shoulder at her. Not at her face but below her eye-line. Odd. She looked down and finally realized why she was so popular today.

"Shit!" she whispered to herself, crossing her arms over her chest. How long has this been going on and why did she never notice?

"Can I get you anything to start off with first?" he asked. Fanny squinted at him.

"... We just got here. Can we get a few minutes?" she requested, really irritated by the man's previous actions

"Um..." the man, taken aback by her bluntness, nodded and walked off.

She sighed, uncrossing her arms and leaning against the table with her elbows and her right hand pushing the air out of her eyes. And now she realized that she completely ignored Yang's question. Obviously, she wasn't really together today. When will her bad luck end?

"One older brother and four older sisters," she began, but changed subject almost instantaneously: "Have people been following me because they can see my breasts?"

Yang found herself pleased by the way Fanny handled herself with the obnoxious waiter. Her usual instinct for people she was fond of was usually to lash out in their place, similar to a rottweiler attacking for its owner. Truth be told, its the only way she really knows how to operate... Although her busty new friend would have to wait another day before witnessing the ugly side of Yang as the staff let them be with their menus.

"Yeah, they have. It's a dumb world we live in." Yang spoke while propping Fanny's menu up in front of her, so as to block people's view. Obviously Yang failed the understand the amazing appeal of breasts. Don't blame her. She's just a girl after all. "And its only getting dumber..."

Yang tapped her running shoes under the table as she decided what she would like to order. She did this nearly every time she entered a cafe or a restaurant or any place serving anything. And every time she ended up getting the same thing.

"I know what I want." Yang announced, putting down her menu and trying to gaze somewhere other than Fanny's dripping breasts. That's about when she noticed that her shirt seemed way too big for her, if the sleeves were anything to go by.

"Your boyfriend won't be too thrilled about this." The saint spoke, assuming the girl knew that she was taking about parading around town with her boobs on show. "What happened to the towel I gave you? Why haven't you dried yourself off yet?"

Such pressure......

When Fanny complained about her not noticing her wet boobies, she expected Yang to lash out at her, like she always does to Steve. Anything Steve ever said was criticized, jeered at, and put down by Yang, no matter what. She was always hopelessly optimistic about their potential together strictly from one moment when she appeared friendly to him at the club. It was a brief moment. And brief moments go a long way. And strangely enough, it felt like she was seeing that side of Yang again, except as Fanny. In fact, Yang's actions are way friendlier now than that moment at the club. Why is that? Who knows. It might be awhile before Fanny could come to a conclusion. Maybe she made a friend, although Fanny wouldn't rule out possible girl-on-girl action in their future. That'd be kinda hot actually.

"Yeah. People are dumb," she said, after a moment of hesitation. Her mind was elsewhere, deep in sexy fantasies.

Her eyes scanned the menu as Yang put it infront of her to divert the lustful gaze of passersby. At first, nothing caught her attention before turning the menu over and seeing the jackpot. Her face lit up with joy. Chocolate! Dear Christ, she had been craving that the other day when she was in the library. And that craving was never satisfied, obviously laying dormant until now. Oh my god -- today just became the best day ever.

"Me too!" she declared, slamming the menu down before immediately, realizing what she's done, put it back up over her chest. "Chocolate fudge brownie sundae! I've been wanting that for ages. Not sure why."

Out of nowhere, Yang mentioned Fanny had a boyfriend and stating he'd be mad. Wait, was she mixing her with someone else? Why the heck would she assume she had a boyfriend? Was that supposed to be flattering?

"No? Why would you think I have a boyfriend?" she asked, confused.

The conversation then moved to Yang's towel, the one she threw to her when fighting the samurai. Now that Fanny thought it about, what did happen to that towel? It was there around her shoulder just a few minutes ago.

"... I might have dropped it? I have no idea," she said. Oh shit. Oh shit. Now this is where the true Yang will probably chew her out, just like Steve. And just when she was enjoying all this kindness from her. Shit, why didn't she keep track of the towel?

. . .

Yang just stared at Fanny for a breif moment, her mouth was a straight line of disinterest.

"eh. One of the brothers gave it to me anyway." She shrugged and spoke in a way that showed it didn't mean much to her afterall. Craning her neck and raised her hand, the twiggy girl called over the waiter.

"Hey. Yeah. Eyes away from the buns, Homeslice." Her tone was otherwise unmused as she natrually pointed two fingers from his eyes and brought them to hers. "We'll have a chocolate fudge brownie sundae--" she paused to share a grin with sweet innocent Fanny. When she turned back to their server Yang instantly became serious again. "And black coffee for me. No sugar, no cream."

That should be easy enough to remember. God help him if he gets it wrong.

Propping her elbow on the table and shoving her chin into her hand, Yang's eyes followed Fanny. Despite the mature and 'been around the block' sort of attitude the sheep carried about her, her eyes still held that youthfulness about them.

"So you're solo huh? That's good. Boys are idiots anyway." she mumbled into her hand, unable to look the girl completely in the eye as she said so.

Annnnnnd crisis averted? Fanny's eyes opened a little in surprise. Alrighty then. Maybe being Fanny has some perks after all.

Yang called the waiter over and ordered for the two of them. Fanny couldn't help but smile widely -- probably one of the widest she's ever done in this female state -- when Yang stood up for her and ensured nobody looked down at Fanny's dirty pillows. Fanny rarely allowed somebody to protect her or keep her out of harm's way, but she decided it was okay for now, especially if it came from Yang. To copy her, Fanny lifted two fingers and pointed from her eyes to the waiters', putting on the most serious face she could make. However, the waiter didn't notice and passed by her without ever batting an eye her way. She sighed: how does Yang pull off being tough but she can't?

"I guess I don't do it as well as you do," she admitted to Yang, moving some of her pesky long hair over her ears, away from her face. Fanny isn't sure how long she'll be able to keep it up. How do girls handle long hair all the time?

"Hey..." she called to Yang across the table and smiled. "Thanks for that."

On the subject of boys, Yang was glad Fanny was single and, after declaring her disinterest for male sex, acted strangely in front of Fanny. Most people would catch on to her body language, her tone of voice, and her avoiding eye contact as a sign that although Yang thought boys were icky, that she might be hiding some secret: a crush or even a past romance that still haunts her to this day. Thankfully for her, Fanny is not one of those people and completely overlooked all these signs.

Fanny, on the other hand, was more interested in Yang's past. Considering Yang's general reaction to Fanny, this might give Fanny the opportunity to really get to know the Yang behind the... Yang. Lifting her elbows on to the table, Fanny folded her small hands together and rested her chin on them.

"Since you asked me earlier, it's now your turn," she eagerly began, "how many siblings do you have in your family? Are you from here?"

Her undivided attention was returned to Fanny the moment she began asking about her origins.

"Um. I don't have any brothers or sisters besides the Tai-- er... The atheletics club." she answered first, pulling her face away from her hand and straightening her posture. "And I was born in China. My name is Chinese." she drew a napkin from its holder and whipped out a pen from her shorts, clicking it open. "Its written with the characters for "carry" "little" "sheep.""

She jotted them down on the paper as she spoke, flipping it rightside up for Fanny to see and slid it towards her.

"Hé Xiao Yang" She spoke gently with her mind on other things.

Well, at least Fanny's hair was starting to look a little more dry now. How did the girl get so soaked? It didnt rain that much earlier...

She definitely gave Yang the impression of being a ditz. The way she didn't even realise Yang was embarassed as she disrespected the other gender. And it was endearing the way she tried to copy her earlier. She hoped this kind of pure soul wouldn't cave into the pressure and corruption in this city. But the air-headed way that she acted... It sort of reminded Yang of somebody she knew...

She couldn't figure out who exactly.

"er... You remind me of someone." Yang prodded, the gears in her slowworking mind spun at a crawling pace. "Your older brother wouldn't happen to go to Jinsei uni too, would he?" Yang pocketed her pen and sighed. "I was about to be expelled for poor attendance. But one of the brothers... Our sorta.. leader... keeps insisting I go to school. pft."

She rolled her eyes and folded her arms on the table. "What does he know?"

Fanny was surprised to learn that there were different Asian countries outside of Japan. (It makes sense in Fanny's case because she got lost in China, thinking it was Japan, which landed her with her "special ability". By her nature, she was never good at geography anyway.) Either way, she was very intrigued to learn all these different things about Yang: the origin of her name, her birthplace, etc.

"Oh cool," she said, her hand picking up the napkin to examine the writing closer. It's so much different than America where people are named almost randomly. "All I know about my name is that Fanny Smith means... Fanny Smith," she added. Thinking about her real name, she wasn't even sure what region the name "Butts" originated from or what it means... other than "butts". Were they known literally for their butts? Or their personalities?

But one thing still puzzled her when Yang mentioned siblings: she mentioned she had a towel owned by one of her brothers but now she claimed she had no brothers or sisters? Was she lying? Or was she referring to the Athletic Club? Where was the Athletic Club? Fanny's brain started raising to catch up, confusing herself. However, this small detail was dropped when Yang said the one statement Fanny didn't want to hear: Fanny reminded Yang of someone. Fanny froze: oh shit, she might make the connection! She needed an excuse fast and thankfully Yang provided it.

"Yes, I do have an older brother there," she confirmed and nodded, a lie but she could say it relatively easily because she really did have an older brother in the Butts family. "Who do I remind you of?" she asked, trying to act oblivious. Who knows, maybe she was thinking of someone else. Either way, Fanny decided to just play dumb. Or play herself. Whichever one worked best.

"And don't worry," she tried to reassure her, "I never went to school and look how I turned out!" She opened her arms, grinned widely, and raised her eyebrows. In reality, Fanny was always proud of her lack of education. No one else thought that.

The waiter finally came by with Fanny's chocolate fudge brownie sundae and Yang's black coffee, but he left promptly afterward, probably trying to avoid eye-contact with Fanny's twins. Doesn't matter because Fanny's dreams have come true: hot chocolaty goodness! Her mouth was practically drooling. But, wanting to be the gentleman, Fanny offered her spoon to Yang.

"Would you like the first bite?" she asked, "Because it ain't gonna last very long."

She immediately regretted this decision, her body making her squirm in anticipation. Why does this form like goddamn chocolate so much? She never liked sweets as Steve!

Fanny offering to give her the first bite was sweet. Perhaps too sweet for Yang's tastes because she just shook her head and gently passed up the little girl's kind offer. Fanny was probably dying to dig into that calorie-loaded abomination of a smoothie. Yang was not entirely impressed with the young girl's choice, but she looked like a puppy being told to wait for their meal, so, Yang set her off the leash by lifting the coffee cup to her lips and tasted the black liquid. Then, suddenly, upon registering the taste of her own sophisticated drink, she spit it back down into the cup.

Posted Image
Speaking through gritted teeth she growled; "fflaack-kuuppie-no-kruem-no-shhuuugarrr.... HOWHARDISZATWOHEAAEEHH!?"

She slammed her cup back down onto the saucer, her puny fists barely strong enough to break the plate. Yang never put cream or sugar into her coffee, and coffee houses were usually in the habit of letting patrons add their own sugar. But this insistence, she could taste something terrible in her mouth. Something... sweet. Did the barista think she was in need of fattening up?! That was the total opposite of what she was constantly trying to achieve.

The haughty triad princess was not pleased.... she stood up and grabbed Fanny by the scruff of her wet t-shirt. Whether or not she had a chance to chomp into that chocolate sundae, Yang didn't seem concerned, tossing money on the table and getting ready to storm out angrily. The neurotic teenager was getting swept up again.

Posted Image
"Sorry Fanny-chan..." She admitted once they were out of the store. "I know I always go to the yelling place first." She was holding the back of her neck in an embarassed sort of way while confiding in the bright eyed teenager. "I'll make it up to you, promise." Reaching out and grabbing Fanny's hand, she began pulling in the direction of some street side shopping strip. "come with me."

Not that she really had a choice in the situation.... but yeah.
