| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? [KIBA TAKEDA] The young red headed man, dressed in a very casual and inconspicuous outfit (light blue jeans and a simple white T-shirt with a graphic monkey printed in front), he stood waiting at the corner of Haven Boulevard and 80th street. There was a major grocery store nearby that the Takeda family always frequented. It was owned by their own, so the shady area and questionable allegiances of the people there was never a true threat to Kiba. Also, he had confidence in his own ability to protect himself. He looked down his sleeve at his watch, making note of the time. He was supposed to meet with his family today. The twins were in the area, and Kiba wanted to spend some time with them. It was rough for them because of the way their father was. Hitomi had developed the same social problems as Kiba had, and Takashi had always been different because of the time he spent away from Niwa. It was hard for Kiba to show it, but he loved these two. They were the reasons why he remained under their father's tyrannical rule. If not Kiba, then one of them would have suffered the years of abuse of Souga Takeda. He hadn't seen the two in a long time, and he was curious to see if they had grown any during their time apart. So the silent red-haired man remained standing at the corner while dozens of people walked around him, going about their busy days. |

Niwa was a big city, but a small world. Even as Hitomi paced her way towards Yakuza-mart, she had already spotted several familiar faces; mostly associated with Souga Takeda, but a few were faces that frequented a little known temple for some shady entertainment. She smiled charmingly, but didn't feel compelled to strike conversation and hurried off on her way. Her fleecey hair bounced with each step. A defined yet feminine hand adjusted the flower in her hair before running her hand through it. Her fingers brushed over a little bump. Would be time to file those horns down soon. . . Surely enough, Kiba - the reliable one - was waiting patiently on te street corner. "Onii-chama~" she cooed with her sweet voice while raising a hand as she crossed the street to meet him. "I see you wore your Sunday best for me." her single eye peered him up and down with an amused curl in her lips. Meanwhile, she was wearing a brandname dress, in white (with lace details,) of course, which modestly cut off at the knees. "Any sign of that poor embryo who couldn't wait his turn?" her twin, she was talking about. Edited by Mrs. K, Oct 16 2012, 08:16 PM.

"Is that anyway to talk about your brother, no less your twin? Sorry to disappoint, but I like to take things nice and slow. I find it much more enjoyable than being the first to do something." He flicks invisible air at her. He then slid his hands into the pockets of his heavy coat, looking over to Kiba. "Well if it isn't short-stack. It's been far too long, amiright?" He had a slight accent to him, most notably from being overseas for so long. "You know.. For being a popular place for the family to pass through.. I was expecting to see more of us after I returned. Where's the spitball Shirou?" He questioned Kiba and Hitomi. He hadn't brought up their father yet. He didn't want to pester them like he did in the past. Shifting a bit, his dark hair falls about his face and he pulls out a cigarette, lighting it up with a match and takes a slow long drag on it. He had taken up the bad habit overseas. It helped calm his nerves. Whenever something bad had happened or he was nervous, a cigarette eased his mind. It was the simple taste of the tobacco in his mouth, the cinders of the material burning with each drag. It was relaxing. He exhales after holding onto it for a bit inside of him, a small jet of smoke leaving his mouth. "How long has it been? Two? Three years since I last saw you guys?" His eye looks down at his smoldering cigarette before turning to look at Hitomi and Kiba. "What have you two been up to?" |

Oni-chama~" Kiba's face upheld his usual cold exterior upon hearing the more innocent voice of his younger sister, Hitomi. She was one of the many children of Souga Takeda, but she held a sense of innocence that Kiba envied. She was his favorite sibling, but he would never let her know that. It's not like he would've been able to show it, either. Life was easier with her around, because most of the conversations were created, fueled, and maintained by her. Sometimes Kiba would be lucky enough to have an entire length of a conversation go about with him just nodding and grinning at the girl. She was a bright youth, with a... weird sense of fashion. Nobody was perfect in the Takeda family, right? "Looks like the other embryo's arrived." Jin answered Hitomi's jab, pointing at the much different-looking man walking towards them. There was Takashi. Hitomi's twin. The Takeda son that had been given all the opportunity that could be, yet he still came up rough around the edges. He had been gone for several years because of a trip--Kiba envied his younger brother's ability to escape this world--and he had just come back. "They're all working somehow, somewhere." He answered Takashi, forming a calm smile on his usually expressionless face. The world always seemed a bit warmer when these two were around. Family dinners were much more bearable because of their dialogue, and their personalities were much stronger than the much more boring Kiba's.... leagues better than their father. "Father's been working us hard. I'm sure you understand. It's just us today. I figured since you're back, Takashi, we could fix up a small dinner." Edited by MaKeNsHiZeRo, Oct 17 2012, 04:05 PM.

Twenty-nine months Takashi Takeda had been gone. Not that anyone was counting. Certainly not Hitomi, right? "Tch. What a disgusting habit." She muttered while baring her teeth, eying Takashi up and down with a look of disdain, the demon in her showing through. No sooner had Hitomi's grey gaze returned to Kiba that her expression melted into that aloofness he always projected. Ah, that poor soft soul. God forbid if onii-chama ever took up smoking. She grinned a smile that reached her eyes in a devious sort of way, and spoke with something prim and proper about her, "Yes, contrary to what our one-and-only Onii might have you believe, I've learned to cook after moving out of the compound, and I've grown to appreciate the unique and aromatic appeal of Thai-cuisine." Kiba had insisted earlier on the phone that they cooked something American for their brother abroad, to which, Hitomi insisted Mexican food, or better yet, Asia's Mexicans. The Thai's. And here we are. "All for you brother dear, don't you feel special? I've had the driver deliver over the more exotic ingredients from my pantry to your house, so here's the list of things we need to pick up." The whole conversation ran like some kind of job or mission as apposed to an errand. "Let's walk and talk." She suggested as her single uncovered eye caught the lights changing, reciting as they began to cross the street to the shops; "Cucumbers, long beans, ginger, peanuts, Takashi's favorite; beer, onions, beef, lettuce, coconut cream, cherry tomatoes and red chillies." Pocketing the list without so much as offering it to them she asked, "Got it memorized~?" Edited by Mrs. K, Oct 18 2012, 08:30 AM.

As she turned around, Hitomi would find Takashi's hands lifted, on either side of her head. He smirks at her little joke from earlier and gives her a childish noogie like he used to. He chuckles and looks to Kiba while doing it. "Hmm.. Just us huh? That's fine." He turns to look back at Hitomi, removing his hands after torturing her for a little bit. "So we just need to do some basic shopping then?" He thinks it over and takes another drag, inhaling a bit before exhaling the smoke and tosses it down, putting it out with his boot. He turns his gaze about. He chuckles a bit. "My favorite huh? If they have it here.. I'll treat you two to some down right delicious alcohol. Your stomachs may just explode with awesomeness." Chuckling at himself, he pats Hitomi's head. "So.. Vegetables and Spices.. Let's see.. The produce store still here?" He asked curiously. He hadn't really explored that much since he got back, considering how active the Triads seemed recently. He had been busy picking up intel and learning what he could about the other gangs and the top people to keep an eye out for. |

A humble nod was all that Kiba could afford to reply with. The twins were talkative, and he much rather preferred listening to their voices bounce around than the sound of his own dullness. With them, he didn't feel like the social outcast. With them, he was just a big brother like anybody else. No Yakuza, no crime organization. No business. No violence outside of the usual sibling horseplay. None of that. Just a normal family. "Go ahead. We'll get whatever you both want." The glass doors slid open, revealing a blinding white interior of the grocery store. There was nothing ultimately magnificient about the place. It was just a small place owned by a middle-aged couple that just so happened to have some connections with the Yakuza. It was clean, it was modest, and it had what they needed. "Let's celebrate tonight." Kiba cracked a quarter-smile as he walked through the door, raising a hand at the cashier. They recognized him--and his sisters--immediately, and she quickly scrambled to finish ringing up her current customer. Kiba took a step towards the woman and calmed her down. He didn't want any special treatment for the family today. Not now. He wanted to cherish the time they spent together. "So let's go grab ourselves the ingredients then, shall we?" Kiba suggested, hoping for one of the two to lead the way. |
