Niwa's Recent News
  • 19 April 2015 -- Niwa is under new management!

Niwa is now under new management as we strive to stand up the the standards of fun and entertaining roleplaying we have so far provided here at Niwa. Today makes the start of a campaign to bring in new members as Head Admin Akaiken and Support Admin Sparky work together to improve and uphold the current face of Niwa and keep us all moving forward!

They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home.

Can you survive it?

Arm deals in Niwa. How it usually goes.

Alex leaned against a wall his eyes watching the movement of twenty men with guns and suitcases. The men were some arms dealer from out of the city wanting to walk in on the arms dealing. The clan had sent their new hitter a young man named Alex Cross to take it. He walked down the lane his eyes staring at the men. Alex was once again wearing a full body Gi solid black with a red dragon on the back. Twin bokken were on the left side looking like normal wooden swords. He got several curious looks as he walked thirty steps behind the men with suitcases. His steps were silent as a shadow his eyes staring at the men as they turned into a room which was quite large most likely having been a storage unit at one time. Alex stopped and leaned against the wall listening to the men as they talked about they're deal.

Alex slid his hand on the Bokken Sheath as he turned around the corner to better access his weapons and to get a step closer.Alex focused on speed and precision when he attacked. Leaving the more messier moments when his opponents were at their weakest point. Only a fool mamimed when there was too many. Alex breathed deeply his hand laying on the handle as he prepared his mind. Letting it clear and find it's inner peace. His body howeer had a different effect growing tenser the body readying itself for what was coming next. Now he would be ready for the inevitable. Alex turned the corner and ran in the men didn't even notice until the blade slid from the sheath cutting the head off the nearest dealer. The men turned screaming as they reached for guns but not before Alex cut down three more men in quck sucession.

His hand grabbed a metal table and flipped it sideways dropping down as bullets ejected from the guns. Alex had seen the guns as they were being drawn. five six shooters, ten 16 shots. Now he had to time it right for the six shooters would load while the 16's were still firing. No 44's but plenty of 32's and berretas. He heard a click and grabbing a knife he came up and threw it hitting the man who had picked up one of his semi-automatics in the skull sinking the blade up to the hilt and into the brain. H leaped the table and ran into the men making them turn and that meant move their guns. His blade flashed as he moved through the men cutting down four more before he made it to another metal table flipping it and hid. He looked down at a bullet hole in his arm and watched it heal slowly. He sighed laying his head back smiling. This was the rush he loved so much.

Alice had been in position for about an hour, standing on a rooftop within jumping distance of the storage unit the little meeting was going to be held in. As she heard voices, she crouched down, eyes glancing over the side of the roof. A large group of business suit wearing men entered the storage unit...followed by a conspicuous fellow in a black gi carrying bokken. He hardly seemed to be part of them...he was likely after the arms too.

She herself was dressed in a tight black outfit, her hair tied back in a ponytail, and a knife at the belt. She didn't look particularly threatening, but that wasn't the point. She was hiding. Low key, unseen. Unlike the fellow who looked like he'd just walked out of a martial arts film. She checked hr phone, one last time. Ben had said he was in position, there was no point keeping the phone out any longer. She dropped the phone onto a bag up on the rooftop, leaving a change of clothes, and other essentials up there. It was nearing a pinnacle. She doubted the man below would stay still for long. She didn't know if Ben could see him, and had to assume he didn't. She couldn't see any other enemies, but that didn't mean there weren't any.

It was time to move out. As if on cue, the gi wearer had moved in, cutting three down before anyone had noticed him there. The action had moved inside the building, and all Alice could hear was the ricochet of bullets and some yelling. With that, she slid down the gutter, and made her approach quickly towards the open door-ed unit. Eyes glowing red at the scent of blood, her fangs extend out of her grinning mouth. She usually never went into a mission thirsty like this-it made her actions single-minded, but it made her stronger, fiercer, and stranger.

She drew her knife, and literally dove into the unit to see the scene. The gi wearing man was stuck behind a metal table. There were chairs all around, and a second table farther in the room. Besides the three corpses outside, there were about five dead ones in here. a quick head count showed a bit over ten inside remained. Alice followed her dive up with a roll side ways behind the men firing at the heavily dented metal table, and keeping low, sliced behind knees to cause several to come tumbling down. She leapt on another's back, using him as a human shield as some people noticed she was there and began rapid firing. Once he fell she leapt on another knocking him down and hissing in anticipation of blood.

Aaaaaah to be paired up again with such beauty; it was such a privilege. Those curves, that hair, the addictive bite and that suit showed it all. If Ben’s vice were women rather than money his heart would’ve been sucked dry when they shared that first suction. He was in position. All the way on the other side, he saw the men, the suitcases and the blade wielding man. He was in a position where he could see everything. He even had a nice view inside.

All in all, the plan was rather simple. Alice was meant to handle the men, Ben handled the merchandise and should Alice need it, provide backup. Ben watched casually as all of the elements collided inside. The man wielding blades was efficient, fast and tough and clearly an enemy of the dealers. However, they were not informed of a third person, so no doubt this was an unexpected element in their plan.

Probably after the guns, but could also have a personal vendetta against the arms dealers. Either way, this alerted the men as they opened fire. Everything was so loud. Guns were getting shot, people were getting killed, screams of agony; they didn’t even notice the third element opening the window behind them. Ben stood there.

He had a white mask that covered his face with a smile drawn on it with big red lips and two blank points for eyes. He wore a big black cloak taking on the form of a shinigami. The cloak worked well in concealing where his body was; he was sitting indian style within the costume, floating in mid-air. If they aimed for his “body”, the bullets would just go through the costume aimlessly.

Ben came down at them like an owl. No noise to give away his presence With his dagger he stabbed one directly in the neck, slitting it open, and letting the body fall and writhe in the floor; blood gushing out in great amount. He took the briefcase from his lifeless hand, and concealed it beneath his cloak, as he made his way out with it, heading for the way he came out in. Three men noticed, and turned their backs on Alice and Alex and shot upward. As expected, they were aiming for the “body” the bullets safely passing through the cloak missing Ben entirely.

“Guess I`m not getting that deposit back….” He thought to himself.

(Due to the location of this incident, the staff have decided police interference is mandatory.)

The cruisers pulled up on the scene, having received a call from the airport security about a shootout happening IN the airport. Who the hell attacks an airport? They are the most well guarded part of the city, so it wasn't likely they didn't expect interference.

Peter Valenco stepped out of his cruiser, bringing his assault rifle to its ready position. As the response team got into position to surround the firefight, an older officer took to the loud speaker as a chopper flew overhead. Yeah, a shootout at the airport was a big deal. "All those involved in the firefight, desist your actions or special response teams will move in on you. We have you surrounded so please drop your weapons and come out with your hands up."

Peter wasn't often dispatched on police call anymore, he was acting more as a black operative for the police departments more covert activities. However something this big needed a crack response team and MECS wasn't available.

--------

Emily was nearby, shrouded in the shadows by a black fighting outfit as her red eyes watched the scene unfold. She didn't know who had passed down the order to attack a shipment at the airport out in the open, but the yakuza were pissed. Orders from Kiba himself to bring in the hired sword sent in for questioning. He seemed unaware of the consequences for an open act like this, but if he had been ordered to do it they would need to find out who gave the orders. She had been sent since she was so difficult to kill and her fighting style matched the man sent to perform the attack in case he chose to fight.

What she didn't expect to see was her friend, Alice, joining the fray. Now police had arrived as well, complicating her situation. It seemed like the hired sword would need to get out on his own, but how would that go? If he didn't make it out alive, the yakuza would simply deny him ever being sent in, a rogue attack. Maybe even blame the triads since they were there. Emily didn't want Alice getting in trouble, but what if she didn't disclose that detail? She would have to watch from a distance and see how it unfolded.

Alex moved around the table taking the distraction to cut down the last few men in his path. His blade a flash of steel his speed and agility were so fast. His blade took life with a single slash not one blow wasn't a killer. Everywhere he aimed and struck was a blow designed for death and on top of that he moved through three different sword styles in combination his body becoming a living form of death. Finally the men laid dead but Alex continued moving. He leapt on the center table ignoring the woman and used his momentum to jump his body moving forward like a arrow as his sword flashed around from the sheath which the blade had been stored in a second before the leap. The drawing of the blade from the Bokken sheath increased the speed of the strike by 100% flashing around light striking lightning as he aimed not for the body which he had seen the bullets pass through obviously telling the man was shorter than he appeared. But the higher point of the shoulder where the head connected down and to the right in the attempt to either sever the arm with his lightning fast and unexpected strike or leave a deep enough cut that would shock the muscles and force the man or creature to drop the suit case.

Alex processed everything the moment the people landed. The womans strike and the blood lust look in her eyes he had seen in many fierce warriors but that lust made people reckless and the reckless made too many mistakes. This man he was going at now seemed more like a hit and run than a warrior someone who specilized in shadows and unexpected attacks. Alex didn't dispise people like that you survive any way you can in the world and if being a blood lusting psycho or a shadow slinging death dealer was what kept you alive than so be it. Another force entered the equation when the sound of a bull horn from outside told him the cops were here. He already had a exit strategy in place he knew the risks of taking a airport for his battle ground. Stupid yes but better than letting these bottom feeders try and move in on his clans turf. The other clans would be angry at this but that excuse only worked if Alex was actually captured but even than they wouldn't get a single word out of him.

He knew this was a gamble a 50/50 roll of the dice but these men seemed to have other guests as well. These two didn't seemed to be working a Op as well and by the clothes they wore they didn't want to be recognized same as Alex who had chosen the black gi without the Yakuza symbol. His mind relayed and gathered the information on all of this while his body went along it's usual pace, the muscle memory of his training taking over so his body could be the wielder of death and his mind the recorder of deeds. He never would forget a attack and could tell if he left someone alive during a large fight or if he really killed them all.

"It's a fucking slaughter in there! Cover the exits. These bastards have made it clear that they're not here to negotiate." That same old raspy voice blared through the intercoms, as another wave of Niwa's best and brightest peace keepers arrived at the scene. This was bad, and it was getting worse. Upon exiting his car--he was one of the many officers close to the scene--he had already heard the roars of automatic weapons. This was already making out to be a bad day.

The helicopter was on its way, as were the guys with the even bigger guns. Right now, the small contingent that arrived with Officer Valenco and Officer Hasegawa were all that they had to holding off the murderers inside.

Nobuo quickly reached for his shotgun and put on his vest. Things could get dicey. There were already disturbed people panicking outside while whatever task force they could conjure up were watching the feed of what went on inside. What was going down? Why were there guns? Did customs miss something? Who the hell was this ninja-looking guy?

"Officer Valenco." The old Nobuo nodded at his comrade--a man whose name had been mentioned more times than not for his actions in Niwa Square. He looked larger than life in person; hopefully the rumors of his remarkable endurance were true. They'd need it for whatever was going down inside.

"We have to stop them before they kill anyone else." Nobuo said, his voice trembling with a taste of both nervousness and excitement. Nobuo readied his weapon and readied himself at the door.

"It's now or never, Valenco!"

Soph Dokuro was ready to explode.

Into glitter and rainbows, but exploding none-the-less.

"How did they even..." the pink-haired police chief muttered under her breath. "You know what, I don't even want to ask. Watch the exits, the roof, the sewers, everything. Only police goes in and no one gets out until the perpetrators are in cuffs." She was instructing the main group of officers relaying from headquarters as he police cruiser broke all of the speed limits in a perfectly legal manner.

'Cause sometimes you can do illegal stuffs when you're on the right side of the law.

"Already being done, Chief," the officer explained. "Officer Valenco and Officer Nobuo are leading teams on their way in. As instructed, I told them to bring noise-blocking headphones if the MEDUSA is needed."

Badass growled from his seat - he wasn't buckled in. Do you buckle in giant cats with Mohawks? "Well, even if it's not needed, I'd like to do it anyway. For fun."

Soph smiled, then went back to her serious face. The officer continued. "More teams are approaching all other exits. If they want to get out, they'll have to go through police, no matter where they go."

"Unless they can vaporize, which could be totally possible in this city," Badass muttered.

"I doubt it, Kitty Cat." ("Did he just call me 'Kitty Cat'? Tell him I will shank his balls when I get back to the station.") The officer winced on the other line and continued. "If they could do such things they would have already. Essentially they're trapped - they'll have to fight the police to get out, and it won't be a pretty sight. Attacking at an airport hits home for our men."

Soph sighed. "Well, whatever is going on, someone better have an explanation for this..."

Badass and Soph stepped out of the police cruiser as it slid to a stop, nodding to the officers. Tiny, pink and one-hundred percent no-nonsense, Soph Dokuro and the NCPD was going to get to the bottom of this.

As she swung into the room, cutting down opponents non-lethally, the man in the Gi finished off those incapacitated, and the rest of the men were quickly sliced down too. However, isn't of even glancing at her, he took off after the ever clever Ben. Alice grinned widely- this was perfect. Just let the vampire grab a bunch of these suitcases, and go along her merry way.

The sounds of horns, and sirens, the obvious sounds of the inevitable police force arriving. Alice moved quickly, grabbing three two suitcases, one per each hand. She quickly opened them, checking to be sure there was money inside. After a quick grin of success, she shut them again. There were about 5 left over suitcases that she glanced at, before deciding to leave them. She would have burned them, but it looked like the cops would grab it. They'd probably do something worthwhile with it so no point begrudging them.

There was an unmistakable WUB WUB WUB of a helicopter in the sky, and Alice grinned widely. She and Ben had talked about this, and now they might actually get to use their little plan. "Hey Hermes! Helicopter, got it?!" She hollered at him, before spinning around and looking around the room. Leaving Ben to take care of himself against the melee fighter, she glanced around quickly for any kind of ladder or escape method from the roof top. She smiled wide as she saw a ladder and small exit trapdoor at the top of it.

She swung one of the suitcases in her mouth, using on hand to climb, and her feet. She scampered up quickly, and peeked out the door carefully. The sounds of the mobilizing police force were much louder. It was coming from every direction...it was a good thing she and Ben knew how they were gonna get out. Else she'd cry from end game, right here and now. The helicopter was circling almost lazily, the repetitive WUB WUBs were much louder. She ducked down again, to see Ben shooting upward, and she nodded. Se looked outside again, and slowly crept out of the door. Her eyes were on the chopper, trying to move unseen. She crawled along the roof, trying to head for the more shaded area by the railings.

She crossed her fingers that Ben would hurry.

You thought you'd found a friend
To take you out of this place
Someone you could lend a hand
In return for grace

Hermes had turned back to acknowledge Athena`s response. He did notice a peculiar sight. He was sharing the air with someone else. The ninja had blown through the enemies with such grace and speed and he was nearly in Ben`s grasp. He smirked beneath the mask as he, unlike the man with swords, was not restricted to the simple laws of gravity. Such was his gift, and it was going to be used accordingly.

He moved to the left at his full speed, avoiding the blade, and he quickly let the man fall to wherever he was going as he quickly exited the storage unit into the beautiful sky.

It's a beautiful day
Sky falls, you feel like
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away

It was a work of art to see those policemen run outside and assume their position as Ben flew up higher in the sky, his eyes set on the one responsible for that majestic sound. It was like a siren`s call, seducing his every senses. Ben was wearing a large black cloak that covered his body entirely. They wouldn’t expect for him to be sitting cross-legged, the entire lower half remaining empty. He looked like a shinigami. It was easy to manoeuver out of the gun`s reach, and just remain directly below the chopper as he made his way up. He grabbed on below the chopper. He had to work fast, before they brought in more air support. Honestly, if it wasn’t for that man with the swords all of this would’ve gone more efficient.

Ben forced his way inside the chopper, opening the door opposite to the turret and quickly planting his knife in the gunner`s gut several times, the gunner took ahold of the cloak, but Ben just moved within it and took care of the co-pilot, while grabbing on to the pilot with his other hand; he dropped the briefcase in the squabble with the gunner. It was still on the ground lying in his cloak. It was fast, efficient. The gunner was still alive, although barely on the ground, fighting for his life. The copilot was holding his neck, choking on his own blood. Ben turned to face the pilot, his mask still concealing his face.

“No funny business, if you want to live, bring the chopper down there. Don`t be a hero. I can just fly away if you try to crash, and if you do everything I say, I might just let you get away scot free back to your family, and if you’re fast, you might just save your friends.”

He held the cold blade against his neck, as the chopper started going down. Ben scanned the area. They had to be quick. He spotted her.

“There” He pointed as the pilot flew closer to where Athena was.

DUE TO THE EXCESSIVE GODMODDING WITHIN THE POST, THIS POST IS NULL UNTIL EDITED APPROPRIATELY - Makenshizero

Alex landed easily from his missed blow his face blank as he looked around the room but that wasn't really what he cared for right now. Walking over to one of the suit cases he opened it and smirked. This had been a arms deal and of course that meant guns, knives and bombs. He reached in grabbing several blocks of C4 and walked around the room setting them up. He tied them together setting them with their fuse and took the detonator. He ran up the ladder through the trap door at the top which was a clever little spot probably on schematics in the air port but the police didn't seem to have gotten anyone up here yet. Alex looked over at the girl and the chopper coming down and grinned. Winking at her he ran to the edge of the building and jumped just as he pressed the detonation causing the ten pounds of C4 and the ammo inside the building to go off with a leveling explosion of fire and force. Alex landed on the ground ducking into a hanger with private planes.

He took off his Gi in private and dressed with his gi underneath hiding it perfectly. He put the bokken sheaths down the side of his pants and made it look like he had a limp. He had plenty of time to get away as it was besides the explosion and fire would keep the cops more than busy since procedure would be to put out the fire first and make sure no innocent people were hurt. Than there was the matter of the charred and blown up bodies cooking in the fire. There wouldn't be enough to Identify them and since that explosion would knock off blade cuts anyway it would look like the men got into a gun fight since all that was heard was gunfire. Alex hid his Bokken blades on a private plane not really caring he had more at his home. But if he could come back and get them wonderful.

He dressed up as aman who worked there even putting on a badge that a friend of his had made legit. In the computers it would show Andrew Collins as a pilot. Alex stood at the back with some others who were talking and pointing at the other hanger that was burning. Black smoke filled the air and the heat was too intense to just be approached unless someone was able to turn themselves into fire or was fire resisatant which in this city was entirely possible. Alex moved slowly to the back of the other hanger until he managed to go out the back door. The police would have been watching the hanger the action would take place in not the other hangers where people were just working and now that it was on fire after a explosion they would have their hands full. Alex slipped out the back and jumped the fence to a nearby black car. Stepping into the car he drove off the other direction away from the cops, the fire and the triads.

(Sorry it ended like this. Paulina and Wack were eager for the topic to end)
