| They said this was a city for our kind, they said it was a safe haven from the rest of the world. This was suppose to be the city where we where safe from regular humans. But, in a city where Meta-Humans run rampant, is there such thing as safety? When taking what you want is as simple as waving your hand, or closing your eyes, how can there be law? In this city, the truth is there is only one source of law, and that are the different criminal organizations that have formed all around us. The only order is that of the darkest part of humanity, of criminal organizations where the strong thrive while the weak gasp for air. This is Niwa Nights.. This is our home. Can you survive it? A daily routine is often pacing back and forth along the same path. As such, Ao is often seen in a particular China shop, looking over the small figurines. His daughter had wanted one. A small dog made from China. It was an adorable thing. It hadn't sold in the past few months, being able to tell because him and his daughter put a black dot on the bottom. He rotates the small thing in his hands, looking it over with his tired eyes. Bags hung underneath them, showing he didn't sleep often. Setting it down he walked around, hands in his pockets, looking at the various other merchandise. A sigh escapes Ao's chapped lips. His clothes were unkempt, creased and looking worn several times. He was a mess. So much, that one could probably identify him as a homeless person just from how haggard he looked. A small, but messy beard crossed his face, grown short, but obvious in the fact he hadn't shaven in a month or two. He shuffled aimlessly about the shop for just a little bit longer. He was going to leave soon to head to the next place that gave him good memories of his poor little girl. Shoulders slumped as he returned to gaze longingly at the small dog made of fine china. |

Come to Japan, she said. We’ll make more money, she said. The Japanese appreciate and love Chinese culture, she said. All lies! Ever since they’ve come here to great Japan, all they had was lousy figurine shop. Do Japanese come? Nooooo, All Chinese. Had he stayed, everything would’ve been the same, except in China! Not to mention that dirty hobo wouldn’t be there. The shopkeeper eyed him like a hawk. He knows he’s been stealing from his shop. Never caught him, but he knows he does it! He saw him head through the aisle and stop in front of a dog. “You there!” the Shopkeeper said in broken Japanese. “You buy dog, or get out! You been here hours, and buy nothing! Leave or buy, it`s simple!” he said irritated. |

His teeth gritted as the man came over and disturbed him. Parting his lips a bit to inhale and then exhale. The shopkeeper could see his teeth grind together once that breath was gone from his lips as he turned. His dark red hair fell about his face, uneven and looking like it was in desperate need of a haircut. "Tch." He took a simple singular step closer to the shop keeper, looking down at him with his crimson stained eyes. What had once been brown had been enhanced to a red hue through his cancer. "Is there a problem with thinking back on memories?!" His voice came out a lot harsher than he had thought it sounded. He didn't mean to be rude or seem violent, but given how he looked.. ..there could only be one thought. Perhaps he was a burglar and would hold the shop up? His Japanese was fluent, but it was clear from his face he had Chinese in him. "Just leave me be for a while." He grumbles half under his breath and steps back before turning, looking at the dog again. He could feel his power begin to form along his arm, the crystals covering the skin, but his right arm was hidden by his side. He wanted to call it off, but the anger that had risen in him kept his arm covered. |

Who he think he is?! The shopkeeper just glared back fearless. His wife scary, this man? Not scary. “Shop is for buying not thinking!” Shopkeeper yelled back; clearly unfazed by the sudden attempt at intimidation. The shopkeeper was advanced in age. He lived in communists China. He lived a decent amount of years and demanded respect, especially from someone younger, even more from a customer… Ne, he was not customer. Customer buy, he just stink up place. His patience was tested. He was paying for protection? He was going to get protection! He went over behind the counter, and picked up the phone. Stinky man won’t leave? Then He`ll make him leave. He dialed the number, and as soon as it was picked up. “You come now!” He ordered. “Stinky man won’t leave store. Suspect a thief. He get away, I no pay!” |

Alice wasn't really doing much, when she got the call that a shopkeeper was getting hassled by some homeless guy. She chirped a happy, "I'll be right there!" And headed on her merry way. They usually called the closest people, so she wasn't surprised the shop was about a street away. These kind of jobs were fun-she enjoyed rough housing people. Especially the look of surprise on their faces that this tiny little girl was about to beat their asses so hard. She cricked her neck, and stretched her arms upwards to loosen up, and entered the figurine store with a small sigh. This was the worst kind of store for this shit. She hoped she wouldn't have to break anything. Alice pushed in the door, and looked right at the store keeper. His eyes were glued, glaring at this rather roughened up individual. Not bothering to talk to the store keeper, she just approached the man, with a wide grin. "Hello there sir, mind if I talk to you outside the shop?" Her red eyes danced, and her arms were held innocently behind her back. |

A silent curse left his lips as the Chinese Man didn't back down. Things were going to escalate and quickly, but he turned and left him, picking up a phone. The first thing on his mind was the police. How wrong could he have been. He turns his head a bit to look back at the dog before grabbing it, about to head to the counter to pay for it. His mind was distracted and several minutes had passed while looking at the figurine. Enough time that when he turned to go to the front of the shop to pay, the girl was before him. "Tch.." He said quietly, the crystals on his hand retreating underneath the sleeve of his shirt. He shifts his right hand after a bit, clenching it. "Fine." He walks forward past the girl and sets the dog on the counter and pays for it with the rest of his money. It was wadded up and looked dirty, as if he had it for a long while but never spent it. He takes the dog, not bothering to get change for overpaying and leaves the shop. After walking outside, he held the small dog in his open palm and turns around to look at the girl. "What do you want?" |

The shopkeeper slammed down the phone. That was not the voice of a manly gruff thug! What was he paying for?! Cheerleaders?! Go with the Triad, she said. They offer best protection, she said. What was point of going to Japan, and dealing with triad?! They could do that back home! When Alice came to the door, the shopkeeper’s face suddenly shifted from a mean old man, to a happy eager merchant. “Welcome to Chang’s tiny….” He trailed, and his face instantly shifted back to his grumpy self as she spoke to the stinky man. The stinky then came to the counter and finally buy something! The shopkeeper took the money. He was going to charge extra for making him waste time! “Next time you come, buy quicker!” He said as the stinky man left. The shopkeeper then looked at the girl. His face changed from the meanest old man to the sweetest in an instant. “Thank you for helping Chang’s” His face then shifted back to the grumpy old man. “Now buy something or get out!” |

Alice smiled sweetly at the shop keeper, not losing face when his turned sour. She gave him the finger, calling out. "You're welcome Chang. Make sure you keep up your payments." She skipped lightly out the store, and turned to the waiting "stinky" man. "I can see WHY Chang got concerned, you certainly looked grizzled. He evidently was quick on the punch though. Sory to have had to bother you after all aha." She put a hand to her forehead. What a waste of time. If she could, she'd drop Jin a line to up this place's fees. False calls like this sucked. She raised a hand, smiling, and turned to go her own way...when she smacked face first into some rather large muscled man. He glared at her and grabbed her arm. "Watch where you're going, Triad slut. This is Yakuza territory now." He smirked, dragging her slightly. Alice pinched a tender nerve in his wrist, making him let go. "Oh yeah Says who and army?" She crossed her arms, glaring at him. And of course, he had some friends with him. Two, tallish fellows. One was more lean, wirey, the other like the first, big and brutish. She took a step back, eyes going between her three combatants, and grinned. Well, looks like she wouldn't lose a chance to fight someone afterall. the first guy swung a punch, and she dodged easily. The other two came at her from either side, grabbing arms. "H-hey..-" She kicked on in the balls, but the third already had grabbed her throat. "G-guh!" |

He shook his head a bit. "I can understand.. it's just.. This brought back some memories.. Nice ones.." He pockets the dog and looks to her as she laughed nervously. He sighs and forces a smile until she turned and ran into some thug. She was part of the Tri-Wait... WHAT?! Yakuza! Gritting his teeth, his hand took only a few seconds to crystallize over. The girl seemed to be doing alright, but this was what he lived for now. As the one grabbed her by the throat, the crystals grew larger as time passed, forming into a blade. She was pinned and would be in trouble. "RAAAH!" The crystal blade ripped through the chest of one of the thugs, sending blood splattering against the one holding her throat. With a pull, the blade was ripped out, leaving the thug clenching his chest, holding the hole in shock before falling forward into a pool of his own blood. His ferocity was insane, like a wounded tiger smelling fresh blood from the prey before it. He moves and lides the arm forward, cutting through one hand and gashing the other of the man who held her throat. Blood was everywhere, staining his jacket as the thug screamed. There was a look of pure hatred in Ao's face. "Yakuza SCUM!" |

Alice was not expecting the grizzled person to become her guardian, but as blood splattered across her face, and she dropped back tot he ground, she accepted it. Her eyes flashed red, unable to ignore the blood on her face. She licked her lips, feeling her fangs extending out from her lips. Alice grinned and tackled the only untouched one. He fell over, and she smashed his head against the ground, knocking him out. Despite her fighting, and her vampiric side, she'd never killed someone before. Despite her new ally's need to kill, she didn't want to sully her record for a stupid little brawl like this. The newly unarmed man looked at both his companions, eyes wide, and frozen in place. He screamed like a little girl. Alice hopped off the unconscious man, and punched this one in the face, toppling him over. Despite her size, she was much stronger than this brainless muscle tard. |
