Alice had found that the city was smothering her. Not even the usual spots could hold her interest. She was restless, and drowning. So she just kept moving. Just a blur of pink hair and she was out of the city. There was much to Niwa that Alice had yet explored. But it was the mountains that held her attention. No hustle and bustle... in fact, not much of anything. Just the wind teasing her hair and drowning out the sound of everything else. She'd imagined a picnic would be picturesque and so she had stolen a set. A basket filled with food from the park from some unsuspecting family that had left it unattended, as well as a blanket. She had laid out her spoils when she'd found a rather remote little area for her private picnic. She kicked off her sandals, smoothed down her dress and laid down on her confiscated blanket, picking through the goodies some hapless family had prepared, just for her. It would be a good day~ |

Aeolus had been walking amongst his favorite part of the city, which was conveniently outside the city itself. He had found this small plateau, similar to any Lover's Lookout or Makeout Point from any other even somewhat romantic city. While Niwa itself wasn't a romantic hotspot, it was an interesting place nonetheless, and had just as much to give for those that looked. This small overlook showed him the whole city, and he let a smile come to his face as he stood there, hands in his pocket, eyes closed momentarily to truly relish the moment. The wind whipped at his face and hair as he stood, taking in a deep breath of fresh air and letting the wind blow away all his worries. He had been busy working for the Triads and now, he was taking a small break. Likely, he would get a call from Jin all too soon and he would be called off to work again. Now, though, he simply enjoyed the view of the city, looking to the skyscrapers and then to his sides, to see his surroundings. Blinking slightly, he noticed a girl on a picnic blanket with a basket of food. She was alone, which was a little strange. Maybe she was waiting for someone? Maybe they had left and she was left to gather her emotions with what she'd made for him? Aeolus had no idea or any clues to guess with, but he knew it was a different situation than he was used to. Not knowing exactly what to say to start the conversation, though, he simply tried to turn his attention to the city and say, loudly enough for her to hear, "The view from here of the city is amazing, isn't it?" |

As Alice sifted through the contents of the picnic basket, she felt a pang of guilt. This picnic basket had obviously been prepared with lots of care. Two home-cooked bento boxes with two pairs of chopsticks in their own little sleeves. She was half tempted to return them now, but was too chicken. There was too much food for one person. She hadn't noticed the company until he spoke up and she jolted. She sat upright, looking over her stolen spoils, her cheeks reddening. "This isn't what it looks like." But her perception of what it looked like was probably different than his. A girl awaiting her date, rather than some Yogi bear action? She bit her lip and looked from Aeolus to the picnic basket, then back up to Aeolus again, "W-would you like to join me?" |

Not what it looks like? That was a bit of a reaction for a girl with a picnic basket. But, would he like to join her? That was what threw him more. She seemed guilty. Perhaps she had stolen the picnic basket? Seemed likely, seeing as how she was all the way up here, alone, and he hadn't seen anyone else on their way on his journey here, so doubted anybody else was showing up for this girl. She had quite the spread of food, though, and Aeolus was too tempted, and too hungry, not to join the young, rather pretty woman. "I would, actually." And he approached her, slowly, eventually sitting down near her on the blanket and offering his hand to her, "I'm Aeolus." Once she said her own name, he continued, "Nice to meet you and your lovely spread of food. Make it yourself?" He knew such a question would reveal the truth about the basket, not that it mattered, but he was curious to know if she was the good cook or if he had someone else to thank. Once introduced, he would begin, grabbing a pair of chopsticks and starting on the nearest thing he could grab. Aeolus had never turned down a free meal in his life, and he sure wasn't going to start now, not with all this delicious food just sitting here. If they didn't eat it, it would go to waste, and that was no good. So, he was eating, and eating heartily. He generally ate fast but tried to slow down here and now so as not to look like a vicious animal devouring it's prey. He wanted to show a little class in restraint, and did, smiling a little as he took a big bite out of a bowl of rice and looked at her. "What're you doing up here, with all of this, anyway? Usually there is nobody here when I come up here." |

"Alice. And no, I didn't." That was about as much of an explanation as he could expect at the moment. She grinned as he sat down and helped himself. She could see he was hungry and it put her guilt to ease, knowing she wasn't about to pig out on the stolen feast alone. She picked up a bento and got started on it, watching him as he ate. She admired his sort of blind trust. Was it trust? Alice wasn't really the sort of person who looked dangerous, but then again, she was a murderer who fraternized with Yakuza and all that. What was she doing up there? "Just uh.." She trailed off, cheeks burning red. She picked at a granule of rice and looked up at him, "I stole it. Wanted to see something new." |

He looked up to her, pausing, then smiled slightly as he continued eating and nodded his head. "Nice catch." He indicated the entirety of the spread and looked over everything. Everything did look really good. Then again, he was always hungry, and always being hungry meant always loving how everything tasted. "And for wanting to see something new, you came to the right place." He barely said between bites. "This is one of the best views in the city. I mean, look at that." He pointed towards the view of the city, gesturing to the panorama, "You can't pay for that." "Thanks for letting me join you, by the way. I was starving." As he finished his current plate he picked up a Bento as well and start going to work on it. |

"Mm. There's more than enough food here for the both of us." He wasn't perturbed at the truth of their meal, so Alice allowed herself to relax and was glad that he helped himself. She grinned and dug in, enjoying the stolen lunch. She looked up at him then followed the path of his arm toward the view of the city. She squinted, grin widening, "It's not bad. But I've seen better." She looked up at the sky, leaning back on one arm, grin widening. "Prague is really nice this time of year. Ever been?" She cast a sideways glance at him before she sat up and started eating again. She was gloating. She'd been all over the world, had seen the greatest cities from breathtaking views. This was probably the greatest sight in Niwa, but the world had many more beautiful spots that she'd indulged in. |
