| She was stronger than she looked, Axel could admit that. However he wasn't the type that absolutely had to win every time, and so the surprising strength didn't panic him. "Aye lass, yer a fok lot stronger then yeh look. But it'll take more t'en t'at teh beat meh in one go." He began pushing back, leveling their arms in a solid lock. The cat didn't frighten him, if it got violent he could jump through a portal and be back home quickly. But for now he would enjoy himself. He doubted he could date this woman, but she was certainly fun to be around. |

When it came to a physical activity, Soph was usually unmatched. She felt him push back and she, being Soph, didn't mind whether she won or lost. What she was after was a measurement of his strength. Soph pushed back, hard, her smile growing. It was obvious that Axel himself was also strong, perhaps from lifting things and being around Niwa in general? But Soph could feel his hand and she knew he was a active gunman. Experience had taught her well. A lot of people handled guns (for example, a police officer always used a familiar firearm, one of the few models issued by the station), but Axel's hands were different. They were not the calluses of habit on his hands, but rather the roughness was due to handling many different kinds of firearms. So Axel either had a gun hobby or something darker. In any case, the strategist in Soph was thinking, moving. Who was this man? There was more than what met the eye. Regardless, Soph pushed back with more force, refusing to give up. "Awah~ You're pretty strong Axel! But I won't give up!" Soph declared. |

She pushed back harder. He couldn't tell if she was deep in thought or just spacey, but her eyes weren't completely focused on the arm wrestling. The sudden surge of push almost got him before he caught his arm a few inches above the table, managing to push it back into an even hold. It seemed like they were almost completely even in strength, and Axel could toat a minigun around. What the hell was she? "Aye, yeh got quite teh rock on yer arm as well lass. Do yeh curl small cars 'er sumtin?" A bit of an exaggeration, but it was a friendly game after all. The panther in the room wasn't doing much. It seemed that as long as Axel wasn't hurting her the thing wouldn't bother them. Quite the loyal friend. |

Soph screwed her face up into a pout and pushed with all of her effort, intending to slam Axel's hand down for victory. Soph wasn't going to lose! She refused it! But unfortunately, someone - er, somecat? somepanther? someBadass? - had other plans. All of a sudden, Badass placed his big black paws on the table and batted Axel's hand the other way, making Soph lose in a span of two horrified seconds. The pink-haired woman's lips curved int an 'O' of surprise and she burst out with, "Badass! I was gonna win!" The cat tilted his huge head and tsked at her. "Stop being immature, and treat this like a real date, Soph." Then the big cat stalked over to one of the strawberry beanbag chairs and flopped down into it, his black body a stark contrast to the cheery red. Soph looked at Badass helplessly and then sighed. She knew why he had intertwined - she had been over-analyzing things again. Soph let out a sheepish, innocent laugh, saying, "I guess he's right." Soph leaned forward and grinned. "So Axel, where would you take a girl on a first date?" |

| The cat lunging damn near gave him a heart attack, was this cat that sore a loser? It seemed not as he declared Axel the winner. "Ah guess Ah'll you t'at win due teh interference." Axel said with a wink before he was asked the next question. "Well, it all depends on teh girl, lass. Some women like teh be taken to a fancy dinner. You, my dear, seem more like an amusement park type. Teh thrill and excitement mixed wit' the lights and sounds, plus games where yeh ken win fluffy animals like yer big friend over t'ere. How 'bout you lass? Was my assumption correct or do yeh have anot'er preference?" Axel was accidentally smooth in a sense. He didn't try to be a player, but he had a charisma about him that drew women in. He wasn't trying to seduce this girl with the big cat in the room, though dating the chief of police with his profession could be dangerous. |

As Axel explained his idea of Soph's ideal first date, her purple-gray eyes lit up eagerly and she laughed sheepishly as he finished. "Ah, was it so obvious?" It was quite true - Soph loved fun, and she especially loved roller coasters. The thrill of the wind on her face, the silly games that were obviously rigged, and of course the fluffy prizes. After all, Soph loved stuffed animals and pillows! It was really kind of amazing how much she loved fun and excitement. "It's either an amusement park," Soph said, "Or an adventure! I love going places, seeing new things and eating new foods~" The excitement in her voice was clear. It was very obvious that Soph was an adventurous girl, always on the go and always smiling and bubbly. "How did you know~?" Soph asked teasingly, giving him a playful frown. "I guess I'm too over-excitable for you, huh?" |
