Neryma found herself in the kitchens again, helping to get the evening meal ready. It was still a good ways off, so mostly they were preparing the bread and some pies. Neryma was helping of few of the other girls get a large portion of a hearbeast on the spit for a slow roast. When that was finished, she washed her hands and took up the kneading with Ciena. The Headwoman only trusted a few people to handle the bread. Neryma was glad to be one of them. She loved the smell of the dough, and even more when it was baking! All of a sudden Neryma looked up from the kneading, at Ciena. Her unexplained smile was contagious and Ciena found herself grinning too. "What's got you so happy all'o sudden? You've got me grinning like a fool, too! What is it, child!" "It Ryn! Shes humming! Her babies are hatching!" With start, Neryma realized she had better get up there. She didnt bother to rinse her hands or even dust her clothes. She just took off toward the 'Grounds! "Tell everyone please? Wont you headwoman?" Neryma yelled over her shoulder. No time to hear the answer.
Not soon enough, Neryma was on the sands with Ryn. A few of the eggs had started moving a little bit, but none showed definate signs of hatching just yet. Neryma breathed a sigh of relief and sat down to watch. Auith had been awake, outside sunning. Auith, would you tell the dragons that Ryn's clutch is hatching now? I dont want anyone to miss it! I will Neryma, Mine! I am excited! I can not wait to see the little babies Ryn has laid. Me either love, me either.

Calistra was rather looking forward to the hatching. Xiliath had pestered her about trying for one of the flitters and she was quite taken with T'lon's little fellow, maybe it would be nioce to have a compainion.
They hatch, quickly Mine, we should go and welcome them. The Golden queen said, surprising Calistra that she wanted to be there. They headed to the hatchign ground, waving at Neryma. Calistra watched as the Gold flew to one of the ledges, joining her humming to that of the golden flitter. She was such a softee.
"I cant wait to see what colours hatch." Cali said to Neryma with a brief hug.

Neryma was beaming with pride and enthusiastically hugged the Weyrwoman back. "Do you plan to impress one?"
Neryma looked in awe at Xiliath, taking her place in the stands to watch the hatching. The gold weyrling was honored by Calistra's and her dragon's presence.
The eggs were still moving a little, but none of them were rocking hard enough to hatch. The excitement was mounting and Neryma was hoping more people would come to impress the babies!

Freyja was sitting in her rooms playing with Livia when suddenly the flitter started chittering and flying around. she then started to hum. "Liv what is it? The hatching?"
Its the babies mine. Like our little friend only smaller. They are hatching. You should go watch.
Freyja stood and followed Livia to where the clutch was shaking on the sands. She saw that Neryma and the weyrwoman were both here already. Livia flew to land above the eggs humming all the while.
Freyja went over to Neryma and smiled. "Excited for her babies to hatch?"

Corianna had been wandering around the weyr, learning her way, and trying to figure out where everything was. As she passed the hatching sands she heard a loud humming and saw a crowd gathering around what looked to be a firelizard clutch.
She walked onto the sands and looked around in awe. She had never been on the hatching sands before and was amazed at their sheer size. She then turned and looked to where a group was gathered around a small clutch of firelizard eggs.
She headed towards them and when she reached them stood on the edge of the group watching the eggs shake and wiggle. She hoped that no one minded her being here. She wanted to see the babies hatch. She would love to impress one, but knew that the odds were against her.
C'ton and Nomuth were out at the Lake having a bath when Flip, blinked out and then blinked back chittering agitatedly. "what up Flip?"
The blue flit showed him images of the sands and small eggs. "The hatching? Ryn's clutch?"
C'ton stood up and walked Nomuth back to his weyr where the brown dragon pouted about not being aloud to watch. No you can't come.[/]
He then went to the hatching sands with Flip and stood with the others to watch the clutch hatch.

With Atyith sound asleep, Abella was in the dinning caverns looking for some company. She saw a small crowd headed to the hatching grounds. Could Ryn's clutch be hatching? Quickly, Abella ran into the kitchen. Surely Ciena would know. But she saw Savvi first. "Savvi, is Ryn's clutch hatching? Is that why people are headed there?" No sooner had Abella asked, that Ciena came up behind them.
"Yes Abella, the hatching has started. And you two ladies are welcomed to go and try for a flitt. I've more than enough help just now." Ciena smiled and gave both her daughter and Savvi a little push toward the 'Grounds. "Off with you, now. Are you going Savvi?" Abella beamed at her friend, holding her hand and trying to drag her on. "Hurry if your coming! I dont want to miss anything!"

LAAIYRA
She hadn't been forced there, not at all. But it was only at her dragons insistance that she was at the entrance at all. Laaiyra's arms were crossed, her face set in a frown that was the most expressionless frown you could possibly think of. Blendath had decided that she needed more company, even when the oddly coloured dragon wasn't there. It made no sense to her, no sense at all. Her dragon kept trying to get her to socialise with these people, and now she wanted her to socialise with an unintelligant lizard that had been used to create dragons.
There was already a small group of people there, most of them she recognised as girls from the Weyrling class. What would they need with a flitter? It was hard enough work looking after a dragon that age, let alone a baby fire-lizard. If Laaiyra had ever decided to get one when she was in Weyrling class....She'd have been beaten and the thing taken away from her, most likely. But that was different.
With a grunt she steped towards the small group surrounding the eggs, her face showing her displeasure at being here. Most people would be wondering why she was here if she was unhappy about it, and no one was getting close enough to ask, not if Laaiyra's glare was anything to go by.

Reahal had been made aware of the hatching by Dippy's humming. The brown had been asleep on his shoulder one moment and then suddenly he as wide awake and humming. Reahal had smiled and decided to attend, he liked watching the hatchings, whether they were dragons or flitters. All were exciting.
He walked across the bowl with a strong stride and entered the hatching grounds with a smiel to any who looked his way. Dippy flew off to join the others and he took a place near the back of the gathered people, watching. His eyes searching the eggs for any signs of imminent activity.

Nisaarii hurried into the hatching Sands when Auith announced to everyone that there was a flitter hatching going on. Neryma was her friend and besides, its all that she could do after Adonis Chased Ryn. She couldn't keep Azyimeth away, either. She had pointed out (rather correctly) that the Hatching Sands had room for everyone in them, and that even though she was nearly fully-grown she would end up there with her young some day. She she had followed Hers.
Nisaarii bowed to Neryma and Ryn, and caught sight of the other goldstonerider. She did not look all that happy about something, but she decided that she would go say hello anyways. After all, they rode the same rather odd color (:Neither I nor Blendath is odd!: Azyimeth insisted) and she wanted to get to know her better.
"Hello, Laaiyra," she said to the rider. They even had similar names, why it came to double-vowels.

As more people entered the hatching chamber, the first eggs cracked. They rocked for a bit, making people wonder what could be inside, before in a flurry of action and eggshells, a dainty green emerged. She peered around for someone to Impress her, wanting food, but couldn’t find anyone. She decided to rest for a bit, then. Boy, was she tired!
As she settled down, another egg hatched. What emerged was a very gallant looking brown, but his personality was revealed a little more as he moved over and chirped at his sister. She moved away, startled, and he followed her. She did not like that at all! She would escape him, for he didn’t seem very nice. She flapped her wings and went over to a boy who already had a little fire lizard. Much nicer! He would feed her, right?
The brown watched, a little disgruntled. Oh well. He might just show how nice he was, by helping some of his siblings hatch. Otherwise, he might just sit back and wait for whomever offered the most food. Either way, he wasn’t ready to leave the nest quite yet.
Impressed to: C'ton (Freyja) Color Code: (b7ff29) Frivolous, ditzy, helpful, kind, loving

Just after the brown hatched, a nearby egg started rocking violently. Suddenly, a little ruby head broke through the shell. Then, with one mighty thrust, she broke her shell into many peices. Happy to be free, the Ruby immediately took to the air. She flew around for only a moment, however, as she was too young to have any real strenght. Finally she perched on a shoulder, belonging to a young girl. She was incredibly hungry and hoped her new pet would feed her soon!
Adorable, Confident, Independant and Kind. Ruby impressed to Nisaarii Color code fe4b8f-ed0628

Neryma was in awe, watching the little hatchlings impress! She was also watching her Ryn, who was incouraging her little ones. The green was first to hatch, which was fine by Neryma, followed closely by a brown and a ruby. They were all lovely, and Neryma couldnt wait to see what would hatch next!

C'ton was watching the eggs as they shook and wobbled. Suddenly one of them began to crack. Out of that egg popped a green head, soon followed by an entire green body. The green seemed to want to wait a few moments before making her decision. Her hatching was quickly followed by a brown's. The brown followed the green around so much that the green decided to pick quickly. C'ton had been watching slightly. Suddenly he felt a pressure against his leg. He looked down and there was the little green flit. He could feel her hunger. It was less that Nomuth's had been but jsut as bad as Flip's had been. He smiled at her, and lifted her up. He grabbed some meat and began to feed her the pieces. He was thinking of what to name her as the next egg hatched.
Freyja was watching the hatching intently. She could feel Livia's humming through her body and wondered what was going to hatch first. He question was answered as she saw a little green hatch, followed closely by a brown. She giggled as the green kept running from the brown one. The green, probably in order to get away from the brown impressed quickly to one of the other weyrlings up had impressed from the same clutch as Liv.
The brown did not seem in any hurry to impress. Freyja liked to watch each flit, each one had a personality, much like their larger cousins. Just then a ruby flit hatched out of her shell. -She looks like a mini Rhyvath- She flew around for a while and then quickly impressed the weyrling who rode the blue goldstone.
Corianna watched with great interest as the clutch rocked and shook. She had never seen anything like it and didn't want to miss a moment. She hoped that each flitter found their pet quickly. As she watched the first egg hatched to reveal a green flit. It was followed by a brown who appeared to be bothering the small green. The green quickly impressed to get away from him. The brown however refused to impress yet and looked around waiting.
After the green impressed and the brown just didn't, another egg hatched. The egg held a ruby. Corianna thought it was really pretty. She hadn't seen a ruby firelizard before, nor a ruby dragon and so this was really different. However after flying for a moment the Ruby impressed to one of the weyrlings. Cori sighed. Oh well there were still more eggs ready to hatch.

Mine! Mine Oh Mine! The eggs hatch! You said you would get one.
Danei looked up from the strip of leather she'd been oiling in preparation for further lessons. Oh! Thank you for telling me, love!
Of course, DaneiMine! Excitement coloring the Ruby's mindvoice.
Danei left the Barracks and headed for the Hatching Grounds. She arrived just in time to see a cute little Ruby hatch and quickly impress to Nisaari. She smiled politely and took a spot next to a few others that had joined the small group to watch. "Congratulations, Nisaari. What are you going to name her?"
~*~*~
Mine? Aiuth's rider's little gold's eggs are hatching now.
Aravire's head shot up so fast, her head snapped, causing a flash of pain from the action. What's happening, love?
The little gold's eggs are hatching, now.
Oh! I am very glad you told me! I don't want to miss this.
Apparently not. Raeth's mindvoice sounded a bit miffed. Was she not better than those little pesky creatures?
Raeth, don't. They are just as helpful for messages and other small things. You will always be plenty for me, despite one of those firelizards. Besides, I may not even impress one. Aravire replied, her strides carrying her quickly to the Hatching Grounds. She hoped she wasn't late to see the eggs hatch. She arrived just after the little ruby impressed. She placed her hands behind her back and watched and waited.
~*~*~
Savvi looked up when her friend came running up to her. Ryn's clutch? Hatching?? She was beaten to the answer when Ciena came up and answered. Savvi's eyes lit up when she was dismissed to try and impress one of Ryn's little firelizards. She eagerly accepted Abella's hand in her own. "I'm coming! I'm coming!" Laughter bubbled up from her throat as she followed her friend. She hoped they weren't late.

In all the excitement and even more people coming in to watch, Neryma almost missed the arrival of her friends, Abella and Savvi. After waving them over to sit near her, Neyrma turned her attention back to the eggs. Many of the 9 remaining eggs were rocking and moving quite a bit, but the one that had Neryma's eye was the large egg in the middle. It has just now started moving, and Ryn was inching closer to her prized egg. Carefully, the gold flitt tapped on the top of the shell and got an answering thud from inside. Then, with a great amount of force, the egg split in two revealing a tiny Aurora Firelizard. The first ever, and she was a beauty! Neryma gasped and looked to her golden Ryn. "Did you know that was not a gold?" Ryn's affirmative chirp sent Neryma into a laughing spell, which was ended abruptly by the little aurora's actions.
She fanned her wings, twisted her neck back and forth to look herself over. Once she was satisfied there was no egg left on her, she looked around at the lumbering shapes. Slowly her faceted eyes focused and she saw people, with food! She was quite hungry, but the flitt would not let that alone decide her pet. She must have the best for her! No matter who was quickest to feed her! Well, she would have to choose soon, or she might waste away. There. She found her pet. A dark haired girl sitting very close by. With grace and speed, this aurora hopped into Savvi's lap and began crooning for food.

Aravire gasped when the largish egg in the middle hatched. A beautiful Aurora firelizard! She was preciously cute, too. She had been so curious to know what firelizard would hatch from that egg. And now she knew. She watched in awe as the little Aurora moved very fast to the Kitchen worker she'd met as Savvi. She smiled at the girl before turning her attention back to the remaining clutch.
~~~
Danei couldn't keep the grin from her face when the largish egg hatched the first ever Aurora firelizard. That was a very amazing thing! She whistled in surprise when the little Aurora went straight to Savvi. She had hoped the Kitchen worker would have something beautiful in her life. And an adorable Aurora firelizard was perfect.
~~~
Savvi moved over to sit with Neryma, dragging her friend Abella along with her. She took a seat next to the Gold Weyrling and watched as the egg in the middled hatched. Savvi had a huge grin plastered to her face at the sight of the most beautiful Aurora firelizard she'd ever seen. Actually, the only Aurora firelizard. She watched the little firelizard with awe, which turned to shock when it was apparent that Savvi was the little Aurora's destination. Savvi blinked back tears of joy a moment before finding food in her hands to feed the little Aurora. A name nudged the back of her mind. She fed the little darling a piece of meat, all the while nudging the name to come to the front of her mind. It did. Kresley. "You will be named Kresley. It fits you perfectly."
