L'iam managed to round up the rest of the weyrlings, and left word with B'zer to send the rest on as soon as their dragons were fed and oiled. When he stepped into the barricks, he saw Abella and another girl he recognized from the kitchen organizing Abella'a belongings. He was baffled for a moment, because all the candidates would have had their belongings moved as soon as they impressed. Ciena was usually on top of that? But the he remembered! Abella impressed from the stands. So surely Ciena arranged for her to have help. He walked through checking on every new dragon, and smiling at all the new riders. L'iam showed the group into the classroom to address them all, quickly, before sending them off to get ready.

(OOC All weyrlings, please get your dragons to bed and come see the Weyrling Master for his 'pre-feast' speech! Thanks )

Zzz. Astith barely made it to his couch before falling asleep. I'rin had found it easily enough. Some weyrfolk had moved his things.
Had he not been tired and oddly drained himself, he might have objected to somebody touching his stuff. As it was, he was glad not to have to worry about it. The only thing he wanted to be worrying about right now was Astith.
The hatchling looked very small in a couch designed to hold a medium-sized dragon until not that far from full growth. He kind of resembled a purple splotch with wings, I'rin thought with amusement.
Then the weyrlingmaster came by, and beckoned to him.
He took one wistful look at his dragon, and followed.
I'm not tired! Eath's insistence was strident in Terlara's mind. It was also an obvious lie, the green hatchling's steps being slower and slower. Terlara moved to basically push her onto the couch.
"Eath, you're exhausted."
The green squirmed.
No, I am not. Eath said, firmly, even as her second set of lids closed.
Terlara shook her head, amused. "Hatching's hard work, you know. You're supposed to be tired."
I am...
Whatever Eath was or wasn't, Terlara was never to find out, because the green was asleep before she could finish her sentence. Being a green, she would have forgotten what she was going to say when she woke up.
Giggling a bit, Terlara ran one hand along the dragon's back, then padded after the Weyrlingmaster. He was probably going to remind them not to stay at the feast *too* long.

R'ean wasn't as happy as some of the other candi-Weyrlings, to discover that his stuff had been moved. He'd been late, and the fact that he'd been classed more as a drudge then a candidate, meant that he'd expected to have to move it himself. Actually, he'd expected that all Weyrlings would have to move their stuff themselves. He scowled as he rooted through it, pulling shirts and trousers out of the chest that held all of his clothes, looking for anything that was missing. They hadn't just dumped all his stiff on the bed, either, which he would have preferred. No, they'd gone through it, organised it and folded everything up. So that meant they'd found all of his precious things. There's a footlocker, R'ean. It's got a key on it. Koekyath interrupted his train of thought, the Blue rumaging through the straw that lined his pallat and not finding it at all to his liking. Do you think they'd let us change it to sand? I think there's things rumaging through this... R'ean made a small noise in the back of his troat, moving the to the footlocker.
Ah! There was the key...As soon as he could he was getting a small box, a nice one at that, with a lock and key that he could hide somewhere. The bottom of his chest sounded like a good idea. Under all the clothes he had. Everything was in there, and with a sigh he locked it, pocketing the key before moving over to Keokyath. The Blue did not seem upset at being ignored and was treading the straw with the draconic equivalant of a scowl. R'ean grinned. "I'll see 'at I can do. Ain't promising nothin' 'ough." His dragon seemed happy with that, though he curled up next to the pallat, rather then on it. Have fun at the feast, R'ean. I'm going to sleep. Hatching is very tiring you know. Were you this tired when you hatched?
R'ean paused in his walking away, fornwing before laughing. "Nah. 'umans dun remember 'at far back in 'eir lives. I suppose it was 'ough." Oh. It must be odd to have a chunk of your life missing. Good night, R'ean. R'ean blinked at that, turning around to stare at his dragon. Where had that come from? He had not taken his dragon to think that much about that sort of thing at all. But he shrugged it off, turning once back as he walked out of the barracks and towards the classroom. Why L'iam was bothering with this he dind't really know. Most of them knew what to do. Well, he dind't exactly know, but he could guess. Or follow the other Weyrlings example. He grinned as he stepped into the room, seeing only two Weyrlings there. A girl, he supposed she was a Greenrider, and a boy. R'ean had no idea what he'd Impressed, and he dind't really care to be honest. He had Keokyath, and Torine had Jath. That was all he knew right now. With Torine in his mind he looked around, leaning back out the door to see if he could see her before sighing and stepping back in. No sign of her.

Abella finished putting her belongings away, with the help of Sanita and after hugging her friend for the help, made her way into the classroom. She smiled and nodded at the few other weyrlings there already, and took a seat. She hoped this wouldnt take long! She was anxious to get to Ciena and the feast. Abella had asked Santia to save a seat for her! Where were the other weyrlings! She hoped they would be here soon!

When Neryma came out of the barricks' bathing rooms, she discovered she wasnt the only one there any more! She was wrapped in a towel as her gown was still laid out on her cot. She stopped to look at Auith again before pulling her gown over her head. She dropped her towel as soon as the gown covered her, and slipped on her shoes before heading to the classroom. She had heard the Weryling Master talking from that direction and assumed that is were everyone was. Neryma saw a few other new riders, along with the Weyrling master in the classroom, just as she expected, and settled down in a seat to wait for the rest of them. Surely they would be on their way? She had left the now sleeping Ryn laid out on her cot, and felt somehow lonely. Both her flitt and dragon were sleeping, oblivious to her thoughts and feelings. She shook this off knowing it was silly to feel lonely! Her friends were only asleep! Not gone! So Neryma faced forward and waited for the speech she knew was coming.

Freyja woke Rhyvath up and the pair began walking towards the weyrling barracks. They reached them and found their room. Freyja moved Rhyvath her bed, and stroked her down her back. I'm sleepy mine. Hatching and then eating, and seeing my siblings hatch was tiring too. Some of the others were very hand... Go to sleep love. I'll be back later. The dragon was already asleep. Livia, having decided that that the dragon was a friend and would not take all of Freyja's time, laid down next to Rhyvath. She cheeped, and Freyja knew her dragon was in good hands. Freyja smiled, and then quickly changed her garments. She was grateful someone had moved her things for her, as remembering to do that on top of caring for her dragon would have been too much. She smiled down at her little ruby, amazed that she impressed, and grateful that she received such a gorgeous, precious dragon. She then turned and walked out of her room. she headed towards the classroom where the weyrlingmaster had told them to meet. As she stepped inside she saw a few others. She saw Neryma, and moved to sit near her. She knew that her friend was now well above her in status but she hoped that they could still be friends.
C'ton strolled to his rooms having finally sated his extremely hungry brown. Nomuth, please, never leave eating so long again. I won't mine. But my siblings needed help hatching. I had to help, I had to. I know Nomuth, but remember that you can't help them if you don't also help yourself. By this point they had reached the weyrling barracks where the others were settling in as well. They entered their room, where C'ton things were. Yes mine. I am going to sleep now. The small brown then walked over to his bed and laid down. He was fast asleep in seconds. C'ton looked down at his loyal and brave brown. He was hapier with Nomuth than he ever thought he could be. He saw Flip come in and settle near Nomuth. He knew that if anything happened the blue flit would come get him immediately. He left quietly and headed to the classroom where the others were sitting waiting for the weyrlingmaster's speech. He settled in a desk near another boy, leaned back waiting for the speech.

Neryma smiled as Freyja came in and sat next to her. "I cant wait for the feast! Can you?" Neryma considered herself still only a weyrling, reguardless of her dragon's color! She looked around at the others in the room and thought about what kind of riders they would be?

Freyja smiled at her friend glad she had read her right. "I'm really excited too. Oh and congratulations on impressing the gold. I was going to find you but you left early." Freyja looked around and saw that the others were slowly straggling in. She hoped that they all got along well, and that she could make more friends at the feast.

"Oh! Thank you! And sorry for leaving. Auith was incredibly tired! Did you leave your flit in the room too? Ryn was nearly as tired as Auith!" Neryma giggled as she thought of the golden flitt laying sprawled out on the cot. Neryma would have a hard time moving the flitt without waking her up! She would have to remember to bring some meat to keep her happy just in case. Neryma's attention was pulled away, as she looked around the room again. She was starting to get anxious and hoped the Weyrling Master didnt have a long speech for them!

"Yeah. Liv laid down right next to Rhyvath and so I let her be. I'm not sure if she was tired or if she wanted to stay with her kinda to protect her." Freyja smiled as she thought of the pair laying exhausted on their bed. The ruby dragon fast asleep and the golden flit dozing next to her, a mini protector. She saw her friend's attention wander and knew that she too would start to get antsy soon. It was not that she minded waiting, it was just that after a tense day, happy but still stressful, she wanted to go and relax a little. She hoped the others arrived soon so that they would begin and end the meeting quickly. She was wondering what was taking them.

A'ra stood watching the brown dragon sleeping on the pallet next to his bed. he couldnt beleive it, a brown. Now that was better than he had expected, he looked a sturdy chap too and A'ra knew he would have to up his game abit, he would have to become almost respectable. He grinned and then turned, making his way to the classroom, Totranth would call if he woke and needed him.
He saw J'rian settling his blue and waited for the lad, together they made their way to the classroom, chatitng about Tovyith and Totrath, both amazed they had impressed. A whole new chapter was starting in their lives and both were excited to see where it took them. they sat on the benches, looking at L'iam, waiting for him to speak before they could go off and enjoy the feast.

When Imahyth was done eating, B'lor walked him back to the barracks. He hoped that the weyrling barrack situation would be better than the candidate barracks, although he would still have to share a room. At least he would have Imahyth now. The bronze was yawning and stumbling as they walked across the weyrbowl, and he curled up on his stone couch almost immediately.
B'lor smiled down at Imahyth, feeling an upwelling of affection and love as he did so. There was now way to describe his bond with Imahyth in words. He gave the bronze a pat on his muzzle before going out to the common room. He sat down on one of the benches, watching L'iam expectantly. B'lor hoped the lesson wouldn't take long, because he had a lot of getting ready to do.

Reana Reana had impressed to her Ascith and the little green had practically crushed her feet, but Reana didn't care she sighed after feeding her and then having to practically carry her to the Barracks she was tired herself. But she had to attend the stupid speech my L'iam, she sighed and walked over to him after ensuring that Ascith was asleep. Reana felt as though she was going to strangle proper rules and laws when she finally gained some prestige around here. She wouldn't let Ascith be seen as your average green she was more than that well at least to her, with a heavy sigh she stood with the rest of the Candidates, now Weyrlings.
L'dor Come on Dreuth we have to get you to sleep, it'll be a long night I promise. I won't let you miss anything tommorrow. L'dor promised the lightly colored blue, he was pleased by the dragon but he wasn't sure he liked how he seemed to act. But he would grow use to it in time he knew that from what he had heard growing up, he smiled a bit as Dreuth tried to fight sleep.
I don't want to sleep mine. I don't feel tired, please let me stay awake. Dreuth asked as he lay there curled on his couch, L'dor looked at him and smiled as L'dor began to form a reply Dreuth was asleep.
L'dor walked over to the Weyrling Master and all the other Weyrlings, he stood at attention and waited for instructions. He was there and what more was there? He just had to wait for L'iam to tell him what they had to do here tonight. After all there was a celebration to be had!
K'it K'it had already laid down Xvenith and was standing near the Weyrling Master when L'dor walked in, he smiled and looked at his friend. "Congratulations on impressing what is he a new color or a new shade of an old color?" K'it asked as he looked at him and watched the Weyrling Master, he couldn't wait to see his father's face when he told him he had impressed a Goldstone!

Everyone wanted to get out of here, get to the feast. Terlara shifted her weight from one foot to the other. Eath's slumber did drag her down a little, she could feel that in the back of her mind. It made her less enthused about the possibility of music and bubbly pies than she otherwise might have been.
HER dragon. Her lifemate, the being with whom she would, before too long, take to the skies of Pern. Eath's color determined her place...but what about the new colors? Eh. That wasn't her concern. The young greenrider shifted her weight again. Her classmates milled around her...most not well known to her, but training would readily correct that.
I'rin had, as he waited, a thought along similar lines. The party, he did not really want to go to, but Astith had tricked him nicely into a promise to tell him all about it.
Astith was not going to let him be shy. Maybe that explained something, the quiet self-confidence he had noticed in the riders. That...certainty. But this clutch would have some...well...
What status did a purple rider have? There were now two of them, and they would have to be placed, somehow, into the hierarchy of the weyr. Just below browns, maybe? And what about the rubies, the lavender that was smaller than a green. The aurora, as large as the bronzes.
There was going to be some exploring and shaking out of things, and that bothered him a little. I'rin was a man who rather liked to know where he was...

Torine took Jath to barracks TorineMine I'm so sleepy can i go to bed now? Jath said to her, Torine settled Jath into her bed, she sat down and watched Jath nod off Slightly. She stood up leaving Jath sleeping in her bed. Torine sorted out her clothes and changed into a long, pale blue dress type thing. She sorted out her hair. She walked to her lesson just before the feast.
Torine walked in and was looking around trying to see if she can spot R’ean in there. Her eyes glinted as she stood by the door. She smiled as she saw him. Torine walked gracefully over to him and sat beside him, “hello again stranger” she giggled looking at him. She looked around at other weyrlings, she smiled thinking everyone got what they wanted. “how’s your dragon?” Torine asked R’ean, she smiled again.
