Sprite layering and transparency

The first thing I noticed from DP's initial addition was a transparency mishap where the color white is the transparency color. This causes any sort of white to show up with the background. I understand this would be a pain to adjust and would take a while. The strange part is that this transparency issue is fixed in double-battle mode. ( Nevermind. Double battle, they're still messed up. ) In speaking of which...

The second thing I noticed ( as in the screenshot ) is the layering for double battles. Your pokemon should be at the very forefront towards the screen, overlapping the opponent's from that vantage point.

Burmy's back sprite ( as I noticed in challenge cup ) is kind of off, too.
