Mordfilm has gone through a couple changes Between December 2007, and April 2008, while off line. We have gotten new writers in both the United States, and England onto the team. We are now concentrating on our normal business of promoting, reporting on, and rating new CD's from bands in Europe. But we are also concentrating on promoting the bands, from underground to well known, in both the United States, and England. Our hope is that we will be able to make the Americans aware of the powerful European metal/Goth bands, We also want to make the Europeans aware of the American Metal/Goth bands. And help in getting all the bands recognition in other continents. We will be having on our site a showcase page, with a listing of all the bands we help promote, containing a biography in English, Band member listing, Photos of the band and request a single MP3 from each band, for fans around the world to download and listen to legally. This will help in promoting each band we showcase, and let the fans around the world listen to the music of them. I will be working on a license agreement for the MP3's, giving us permission to host the songs for download. We have been making contacts the world over with as of yet unsigned artists as well. It is our hope that the website will give the record labels a place where they will be able to hear the bands before anyone else, and if interested further their pursuits with the bands. We are only a focal point for the bands to possibly get "discovered". We do not charge a single thing to the bands for the "publicity". We feel that bands should be heard, and not remain underground. Our other goal of global friendship between bands and fans of metal is the biggest challenge. I am hoping that more bands from every country will become available to the festivals of Europe, and maybe European bands get recognized for American concert performances. I hope this "Rockverband"(A term I have borrowed from my brothers at the Rockverband Schweinfurt (German for Rock Brotherhood Schweinfurt)) as I will call it, opens as many doors as possible, (not only for the bands, but also for the recording Labels to get new and amazing talent). We want to help the bands in getting the recognition they deserve. We are also requesting to be added to mailing lists, and press lists for CD reviews, and SWAG to be presented on our website as contests. We are expecting a monthly hit count of more than 10,000. as well as having RSS subscribed members, once I get the coding completed, which will include both fans and bands. We will also make available a Ticker Widget for your desktops, which will allow you to also post the RSS from other sources. It will give you updates without logging into all of your favorite sites, or even on the web, as long as you have an internet connection that does not need login. We have also added a forums page, Which is where you are now, a place where fans will be able to write their own articles and post them for others to read. As well as post information of their favorite bands, and for bands to come visit and maybe answer some fan questions, or post some information them selves. Yes, as long as you join the mordfilm forum, you can post all the information you want in these halls. The goal of the website is to create a totally interactive, and informative place that is also fun for the visitors. I hope you will consider this proposal, and we look forward to working with you again in the near future. I hope we can count on everyone for this huge endeavor, Let me know what you think, and if you have any other ideas or incites to what we can do to make this an even better place for fans the world over to visit. |
