http://eddietrunk.com/3-7-trunk-top-20-kiss-songs/ After laying out a case for his top 20 KISS songs on his radio show, super-fans John 5 and Tom Morrelo weighed in. This is a lot of fun for KISS fans of which there are a handful here. https://youtube.com/watch?t=1245s&v=RzHpY97HQNA https://youtube.com/watch?t=2455s&v=kDje4CopbFI Edited by Wolfie, Mar 11 2018, 01:20 AM.

Please list the songs so we can discuss them and not have to watch 3 hours of Eddie Trunk talking over his guests. I could change the order at any given time but the top 4 are pretty much in stone. 1. Rock and Roll All Night 2. Let me Go Rock and Roll 3. Nothing to lose 4. C'mon and love me 5. Ladies in waiting 6. Room Service 7. Strutter 8. Deuce 9. Love Gun 10. Hard luck woman 11. Beth 12. Dr. Love 13. Black Diamond 14. 100,000 years 15. I stole your love 16. Parasite 17. Shock me 18. God of Thunder 19. Detroit Rock City 20. Ladies Room Funny you posted this, I'm buring my Kiss cds to make a new playlist on my ithing tonight. |

I find that over the years I have tired of the hits and prefer the “B” songs for my playlist, but how do you not put rock and roll all night number 1? |

This is hard. Too many great songs. I'm leaving a bunch out. Should really be Top 20 Classic Era KISS and a Top 20 Post Classic Era. |

And its a question of “favorites” or most important to “Kiss career”? For the latter, the ones radio played to desth during Kiss heydey were: Rock and roll all night Dr Love Christine Sixteen I was made for loving you |

So I was listening to the demo God of Thunder on 40 Years of Kiss with Paul singing, no effects and fast tempo like they played it live. Ok till they get to the chorus and wimpy falsetto vocals. I never cared for Bob Ezrind sound effects on the studio version or how slow it was.

Today live albums are throwaways but back in the day they could be huge. Kiss, Peter Frampton, Cheap Trick, Thin Lizzy all blew up on their live album, not the preceding studio albums. Nobody looked at Frampton till the live album.. |

Ok. This makes it a bit easier but I’m still leaving out a bunch of classics. It’s just a matter of personal preference. Top 20 Classic Era KISS Songs (Gene, Paul, Peter and Ace lineup) King of the Nighttime World Makin’ Love Shock Me Take Me Mr. Speed Shout It Out Loud Calling Dr. Love Detroit Rock City Parasite Christine Sixteen She 100,000 Years Watching You Rock Bottom Do You Love Me? I Want You Strutter Strange Ways Cold Gin Black Diamond Peter didn’t play on Dynasty or the Alive 2 studio tracks so I left those songs off. Edited by Wolfie, Mar 11 2018, 07:48 PM.

Top 20 KISS Songs Post Classic Line-Up Rocket Ride (Ace but not Peter) I Love It Loud War Machine Unholy Creatures of the Night Hard Times (Ace but not Peter) Larger Than Life Charisma (Ace but not Peter) X-Ray Eyes (Ace but not Peter) Sure Know Something (Ace but not Peter) Rock and Roll Hell Tears Are Falling Heaven’s on Fire Lick it Up Heart of Chrome Young and Wasted Exciter Modern Day Delilah Danger A Million to One Damn, KISS has one serious body of work. On second thought, I’m not sure if Ace played on all of the Dynasty tracks I listed. I’d have to go back and listen to them. Edited by Wolfie, Mar 11 2018, 08:10 PM.

They’ve got too many great songs. It’s impossible to make a top 20 list without leaving some classics off. |
