He will not play on the upcoming Judas Priest tour. Apparently he was diagnosed ten years ago but until now has been able to carry on playing. First KK retired and now Glenn is gone, as is most of Robs voice. Priest just isn't Priest anymore. :(

Aw damn. He WAS the priest sound as far as I am concerned. It was his riffs that are the memorable ones. He and Rob were the 2 major factors in the band that cant be replaced. Rob should just do Halford now and retire the Priest name

Producer Andy Sneap is taking over Glenn's guitar duties on this tour. It would've been cool if they could've talked K.K. into coming back for a short run.

For nostalgia, KK would have been good but he couldn't play Glenns parts, he was the wiggly wiggly player and they needed a technical player. And KK is too busy selling perfume. ACDC replaced Malcom with cousin Stevie--family--who played ONLY Malcom rhythms. But, Priest doesn't have an easy replacement, he had a very light, very light touch on the right hand for a metal guitarist and not many do. I'm sure there is metal band who knows Priest parts by heart, I just cant name them. And my problem is that if Rob is the only original member, then don't call it priest, call it Halford and bring in hired hands. No original guitarists, bass players or drummer, only Rob wailing....no more Priest.

Glenns right hand was the most delicate picking metal hand I know, just hummingbird precise.

Bassist Ian Hill has been in the band since 1970, before Glenn and Rob, so there is a little more original Priest than Rob left. And Scott Travis has played the drums since Painkiller, so they are hardly just hired guns. :)

Russ Parrish would make a nice fit on short notice. He does have history playing with Halford in Fight.

Just let K.K. play rhythm and let Richie handle all the leads. At this point he's writing most of the songs and playing those leads on record anyway.
