John Hughes was a prolific filmmaker in the 80's and 90's specializing in coming of age comedies. The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off are probably my favorites but they're all pretty good. I recently saw Career Opportunities for the first time with the amazing Jennifer Connolly. Thoughts? Do you have a favorite Hughes film? |

Too hard to pick one. Uncle Buck, Breakfast Club, and Home Alone are all childhood classics for me. The absolute definition of nostalgia. |

So many great choices! I have to go with the Breakfast Club. Must have watched it 20 times in my teens. It’s really a shame he just stopped making movies. |

To tough man, vacation is probably 1 but you could insert any of the others and I wouldn't complain. Except home alone, not a fan. |

Tough to keep making movies when you are dead He actually was still writing movies up to his death at 59 but had gotten away from directing.I'm also going to pick Breakfast Club. Funny aside but I always pictured Bulldog Wrestler as Emilio Estevev's character in the movie. |

Most of his movies epitomized the 80s, a moment in time and are dated. Vacation is timeless and never gets old or feels dated. |
