The #OscarsSoWhite movement was fine, in theory, until the movement completely died once a handful of afro actors were honored.

Nobody gave a shit when white and afro actors were nominated, but Asian, Hispanic, Arab, Polynesian, Native American, etc. actors were left out in the cold. The movement's message kind of rang hollow when it was clearly done with just one minority in mind.

Let's definitely give people of afro heritage more love, but let's also do it for the other racial backgrounds I mentioned. Sadly, those groups largely remain ignored.

2017 was a very poor year for going to the cinema. I'm hoping 2018 won't be as bad

Couldn't agree more, unfortunately other minority groups don't speak up (for a variety of reasons).

Bullcrap it was!

Wonder Woman, Blade Runner, War for the Planet of the Apes, John Wick 2, Logan, Dunkirk, The Last Jedi, Kong Skull Island, Spiderman, Thor Ragnarok, Jumanji, IT, Atomic Blonde, The Shape of Water, Coco, Lego Batman, Split, Wind River, Get Out, Your Name, American Made, Marshall, The Post.

Whether you're into artsy dramas or the geeky blockbusters, 2017 kicked major ass.

Actually, a large number of actresses have been talking about boycotting this year to protest that no actress has been nominated for the best actor award.

Seriously, he's Daniel Day Lewis. He could act in Elementary School Play and make the production top tier. He's the best actor of his generation.
