Great. Now everything's going to be on Disney's streaming service instead of Netflix and Hulu. I really hope this doesn't happen. |

Does this mean they can release the non-fucked Star Wars trilogy on blu-ray? |

The only reason to hope it does not happen is because of not wanting to pay for that many different streaming services. I am not sure of what is on Hulu that is actually worth watching myself (granted, this is a very subjective thing to judge). I have seen a few posts in other forums of people being fearful of Disney being some kind of monopoly. I do not think there is any real danger or problems from this. Disney is primarily a content creator, though they own one broadcasting network. Even then, with the Internet being a think broadcasting over the air is just not as big a deal as it was 30 years ago. About the only thing they might try to do is lock down certain stars or directors or writers with overly coercive contracts. I would be more worried if they had tried to buy Comcast / Verizon or some other big ISP. Nothing about the deal is going to make it impossible to get the content you want to see. You can still read both Marvel and DC comics. You can still enjoy both StarWars and StarTrek. The only constraint when it comes to personal entertainment is your own time and money, and I cannot see Disney being dangerous as an attempted content monopoly because there is always going to be something new, and the new thing does not need to be tied to Disney. END COMMUNICATION |

So Kathleen Kennedy is standing in the way. Time for someone to accuse her of sexual harassment. |

She's too busy ruining current Star Wars movies to worry about old ones. |
