The actor that plays the clown is too normal looking. Tim Curry was perfect in the role because even without the makeup he's freaky looking.

Bill Skarsgard did a very good job in the movie.

Finished watching it today. I'm not in to horror movies and stuff but I found it creepy.

Went to see IT on the opening weekend, and it was a very mixed bag for me. The stuff with the kids and their issues worked well I thought, but sadly the horror elements did not.

If they went for the more psychological stuff this couldn've been something really special, but we got for the fast cuts, obnoxious loud noises and jump scares for the lowest common denominator that sadly is 99% of horror today.

That said it was still worth watching and I do want to see the second part.

I really enjoyed the coming of age, Goonies/Monster Squad/Stranger Things vibe and the kids were great. It's a pretty solid movie with the exception of all of the retarded, clown shit. I suppose if you're one of these people who are terrified of clowns it's great, but if you're like me and you don't find them scary in the least it's just fucking dumb. It's also worth noting that I've never read the book (I'm not a huge Stephen King fan) and I never saw the original made for tv movie. In fact I had zero interest in this remake (contemporary horror is generally atrocious) until someone I trust compared it to the aforementioned films. I'm not sorry I went, but I don't really get all the hype.

Went yesterday and did not care for it. It was entertaining but not scary at all
