I hate superhero movies.
I'm so sick of super hero movies too. They're so fucking predictable. I will probably watch Logan but that's only because it's R rated and there should be some good violence in it. That's it. None of the others interest me the slightest.

I think it looks sweet. Nice of them to show the entire movie in that one trailer too. Thanks Sony.

I have to say Mary Jane should definitely be a red haired white chick with huge tits

Marvel dropped the ball on this one

well if Sony was capable of building the franchise without the help of Marvel, you wouldnt have Avengers in it.

Its all apart of the deal, they offered Spider Man for the avengers movies which is what Marvel/Disney wanted provided they get some help in making their movies and getting it rolling correctly.

I personally think Captain America works better alongside Spider Man but I can see why using Iron Man makes more sense. I've been a fan of all the disney/marvel movies basically so I like the direction of this spider man. The only disney/marvel film to really disappoint me has been doctor strange and the first cap america flick

Well they did build two really good movies, before Raimi shit the bed in 3.

They can briefly reverence the Avengers or Iron Man, but don't need to shoe horn him in there. Give him the costume, explain how to be a here. Blehhh.

Its shit, IM is not the center of the Marvel Universe. Fuck, why not have him be the one to throw Parker into the radioactive spider.

Look when I read Spider Man, I wanted to read Spider Man. Crossovers are cool and all, but the best issues are Green Goblin reveal/ Gwen Stacy death/ Venom Symbiote origin/ Spider Man no more/ Clone Saga... ok that one depends on who you are.

Get the point. Connected universe is nice and all, but lets let these movies be there own.

What if... Iron Man created Spider Man, nope I'm out on this one.

Well I think the plan is to build the franchise so the Spider Man films can eventually stand on their own feet without the need for any Avengers. I'm sure Sony did not want to involve Disney/Marvel but they had no choice in the end

I've read they already are planning a Gwen Stacy movie and a Venom movie. So they do plan on going away from the disney/marvel side

they kinda have to use downey/ironman in this b/c the kid who plays spidey is a no name nobody. with downey, it's guaranteed to sell. and once the kid is established, he can go it alone in the next movie.

didnt the Andrew Garfield second movie flop??? almost positive it did and thats why they had to resort to this

The major push though was Sony after the whole email hack needed some good publicity

No that character isn't Mary Jane. Mary Jane probably isn't even in the movie. The character he is kissing in the trailer is named Liz Allan.
