Sony still making the movies, Marvel has producer credit and deal was they were free to use Spider Man in any of their movies. They also got the ability to introduce him first in captain america.

Sony still retains rights though, Marvel basically directed the whole thing though

I like the trailer, as much as i've enjoyed every spider man movie made aside from the Tobey Maguire third one, this is the direction needed

To have a kid thrown into the mix with avengers changes things up, gives this kid room to grow too as the spider man character for future films

It cost them like 400 million to make including marketing and everything, it only made them back like 200 mill

I liked it but they packed it way too full of villains because they were trying to set up their own avengers type mix. They were planning on having villains get their own movies and that movie was the lunch pad.

Sony wasnt happy with the results to go forward I guess. It didnt help that the sony hack happened around that time and gave Marvel the upper hand to get them to negotiate for what they wanted. Sony needed some positive news and aligning back with marvel was the best bet. Theres no possible way this film flops, Marvel is cant miss at this point when they are directly involved

I liked the first few with Toby Macguire (Bruce Campbell cameos were cool) and the first with Garfield. This one looks good to me. I've grown tired of the superhero stuff lately but I always liked Spider-Man. I
