i'll watch it soon and by watching it, I mean the first three episodes and give up
I don't think you'll give up. It's really good and it is very 80's. And spooky.
i'll give it a shot this week

also, tally what is your avatar??? Is it related to this show???

Just finished this show. Watched it over two days, it had me hooked right away when the 80'ies tone was set with the camera in the middle circling to the kids playing D&D and the awesome original soundtrack. Thats just a few of the great things about the show. I hope the next season will keep up the high quality.

It was a hit in our house. My son loves the shit out of it, and now thinks my childhood was awesome. Personally I'd have traded my BMX bike and D&D for an 80" flat screen and an Xbox One, but whatever. ;)

I'm only 2 eps in and I'm loving it. Never seen a show where I was so entertained by a bunch of kid characters.

Just watched first episode last night, and loved it. Brought me back to my childhood and will definitely smash this out over the next week.

Watched the first 3 episodes last night and I'm hooked.

PC nailed it. It's like a really well made 80's movie.
I'm 7 out of 8 episodes in. My first thought was "Why are they remaking Super 8 into a series?" Aside from that, I'm enjoying it, but its not great........ Winona is role playing the crazy chick which is fun to watch and the Sheriff from Garden State plays the role well, but its just not that compelling or scary.

Ironically, it was the premise that kids were the main story, that caused 20 networks to pass on this show, before Netflix picked it up.

Apparently they all said the same thing, that the show would have to be centred around the cop, for adults to like the show.

it's generational, imo. The show is overloaded with nostalgia for someone from my age group if they were big into 80s/90s TV/movies.

It
Goonies
Monster Squad
Stand by Me
Sandlot
Dutch
Home Alone
Fright Night
A Nightmare on Elm Street
the Lost Boys
Every other Corey Feldman movie
John Hughes films

All of these are classics in my generation and all focus on youth/teen leads. Old fucks don't get it. Nostalgia sells.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 1st season. I can't think of another child led tv series that I've watched in the last 20 years.
