It's weird, the older I get the more I like his music. Sad news.

Bobcaygeon is one of my favorite songs ever. Spent a lot of time in that tiny little shitty cottage town.
Same here. We used to boat up the Trent-Severn from Peterborough and dock in Bobcaygeon for lunch.

The video for the song is awesome, especially because Hugh Dillon (Headstones) is in it.

"Til the men they couldn't hang stepped to the mic and sang..."
My folks rented a house boat for a week when I was a kid and we did the same damn thing. Must be like a GTA right of passage or something.

Yeah, I watched it. The most Canadian band got the most Canadian send off. Like some people mentioned, if it were an American show, sandwiched in between all the commercials (of which there were none) you would have commentators telling you what was going on and a whole bunch of other extraneous crap. It was quite touching.

I didn't mean no disrespect to American TV there.

So did anybody actually go to any of the live shows?

I went to Corb Lund's 2nd annual Down From the Mountain Festival in Eureka, Montana last weekend and must of seen over a dozen people wearing The Hip t-shirts and hockey jerseys. I didn't realize the final show was the same night.

I went the the first one in Toronto I saw them the last time they were here too. When I lived in the US they were always the band I would throw on when I was missing home.

I was at a work conference all week and my VP opened it by telling her story of the Hip (having gone to school at Queens in Kingston in the early 90's). Total Canadiana.

Colleagues from all over the country watched.

I missed it, watched the UFC PPV instead.
