Caught David Cross tonight. The guy spent two hours roasting conservatives on their bigotry, crazy gun infatuation, religious nonsense and the whole Trump/Cruz clusterfuck. Shit was hilarious.
I've read a few other good reviews. Hilarious that the tour is called "Making America Great Again". I saw some mentions on social media about people storming out mid-show, and speculation about whether they just didn't like the material, or if they somehow went to the show expecting some pro-trump comedian. I laugh imagining the latter. How was the crowd when you attended?
Sadly full of hipster twats (whom he also made fun of mercilessly to my delight). My city if fairly progressive, so I don't think that the liberal/atheist views caught anyone off guard. Everyone seemed to have a great time.

I just finished Anthony Jeselnik's "thoughts and prayers". Great stuff. So dark, but funny throughout and very memorable bits. the Eric Clapton joke is nuts.

Lewis Black has a new special out "Black to The Future"

I need to find this one online and watch it. I've watched all his specials, and the state of politics makes the timing of this one perfect.

For years I have repeated one of his jokes from his special in the wake of the Bush/Kerry election. He said "When America walked into the polling booths, we had a choice between two buckets of shit. The only difference was the smell". That applies once again now.

I saw Russel Peters, Big Jay Oakerson and Joe Rogan last Friday at Massey Hall in Toronto. It was a good time, but aside from Big Jay it was obvious Peters and Rogan didn't have much material to work with as I guess they didn't want to repeat stuff they used for their recent specials.

That should be good! I recently watched his, Stanhope, Rogan and Kreishner's election show from the election day in November. Burr absolutely killed it then.

Just watched Rogan's Netflix special "Triggered". It was surprisingly good. I mean, it was legitimately funny. I usually don't find Rogan's standup very good but this show was actually really good. If you, like me, aren't a huge fan of Rogan's standup, give Triggered a chance.
