Don't want to turn this into the political thread, but this week's Bill Maher Segment is relevant here: |

Calling those jokes "transphobic" delivers bigger laughs than the jokes themselves. |

Yesterday was the 10-yr anniversary of the death the funniest person in the world, Mitch Hedberg. Vice did a good piece with a lot of comments from comedians. http://www.vice.com/read/the-comedy-community-talks-about-the-legacy-of-mitch-hedberg |

Mitch was way ahead of his time. He didn't get nearly as much recognition as he should have when he was alive. |

I like Mitch. I think he's really funny, but I think he's got a little bit of a Cobain thing going on. He tends to get put on a little too high if a pedestal at times because he died so young, imo. Good? Yes. Great? Debatable, but I'd probably say yes. GOAT? Not even close, imo. |

I can say that I have never had the desire to listen to a comedian's set more than once (except Eddie Murphy's Delirious). Usually once listen is enough as there is no repeat value. For me, Hedberg is a massive exception to that, as I will never get tired of listening to his albums, especially Mitch All Together. I must have listened to that album 50 times, and it never gets old to me. |

I'd listen to a Hedberg vs. Carlin comedy one-on-one in heaven or hell or wherever they would hold such a thing.

This was pretty brilliant. Did you get a chance to listen to You Made It Weird with Richard Rohr yet? He actually talks alot about the mistake of "picking sides" and seeing these dually. I've listened to it twice I thought it was so good. |

Wow. I just left the Joe Rogan show at the Tulalip casino. What a fucking shit show. First of all it was in a fucking ballroom that looked like the scene of every depressing Amway sales convention. People were yelling during the entire set and God bless Joe Rogan, the dude tried to steer the ship, but the crew was not having it. It was insanity and easily the worst comedy show I've been to. People keep standing up and yelling and trying to put on a show. At on point, Hoe just basically had to quit. He was trying but it just turned into redneck retard chaos. Got to meet him after a get a few pics. He was super nice and chatted with me a bit. |
