Bill Burr and Ralphie May are two of my favourites but Pablo Francisco's work has me LOL every time. Ecstacy at the Techno Club is a great example: |

I always found Pablo Fransisco very overrated. His material just doesn't do it for me. |

Pablo's Comedy Central Presents is very good. His other stuff I haven't enjoyed as much. |

Joe Rogan is vanilla pudding - same old material. Most comedians do other comedians material and it would be hard to be 100% original and cutting edge. Pablo delivers a lot of the same material but in a manner that I find unique. He's really high energy and always changing up characters and voices. Plus he does "the movie guy" voice dead-on. I haven't seen anyone else nail that one. |

Impressions just aren't my thing. He's really good at them but that alone doesn't make him funny. I think most of his stuff he does while doing impressions is pretty lackluster. I'm also just way more into more brash comedians like Frankie Boyle, Doug Stanhope and Louis CK. I love Carlin too he was amazing. I don't know, to me the impressions sometimes comes off as searching for cheap laughs. I know that it can seem like Louis CK also goes for cheap laughs sometimes but I just like that style of stand up way better. Also, I don't really like Rogan as a comedian and he's rarely very funny on his podcast although I do listen to it a lot. Edited by spasgur, Jan 3 2015, 08:21 PM.

Rogan just yells until people laugh. Very very few of his jokes are clever any way. |

I watched it. Wasn't bad, but not awesome material by any means. Joe's standup is a lot like his podcast, where he just rants about a lot of big issues in a funny way, but often he doesn't spin it in with enough creativity or delivery to make it laugh out loud funny. Has some solid bits though. |
