Caught the new Bill Burr special on Netflix. Per usual, Burr is on point and hilarious. Check it out.

Just downloaded that a few minutes ago, oddly enough. Surely it's good.

Ha, I was going to watch it tonight, too.

Other than that, I haven't caught any good new standup recently.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee new season started a couple weeks ago. Burr was one of the recent guests, plus Kevin Hart and others I'm forgetting.

Caught Jim Jeffries live this past weekend. Really great stuff. He was lit as always. Started off by insulting the venue, than a couple cracks at the audience. Some funny Cosby bits. All in all an awesome show.

We may have a major difference of opinion here, but I would steer clear of the "Miranda Sings" episode. It's awful, cringey, and pointless. Miranda Sings is the name of some youtube personality who does song parodies and puts on this obnoxious character.

I gave it a chance without prejudice, because I thought there might be some discussion about the new wave of youtube comedians, how it's different than traditional media, etc. Unfortunately she is in character during the whole episode as far as I could tell from skimming it. It's a shame too, because I bet Jerry and the producers sat around trying to find some youtube star to diversify the lineup, which is a great idea with plenty of options, and they blew it.

Ugghh, so that explains it. Didn't see this ep or know who she was. But Jerry did a cameo on tonight show last week playing pictionary and he brought her with him. She did that shtick the whole bit and it was annoying. Not trying to actually guess or draw. Absolutely nothing funny there.

I've watched a lot of Doug Stanhope videos on youtube lately, he's hilarious. Another one that I've gotten into is Frankie Boyle. Both of those guys are so brash, they're great. This is one of my favorite Boyle bits:

I saw Dave Chappelle this past summer, does anyone know when his special is going to be out?? They said all over the place that it was being filmed for HBO or Showtime

Bill Burr and Jim Jeffries are two of my favorites. I liked the lates Jeffries stand up although it can't measure up to his first which is one of my favs of all time. I'm looking forward to seeing Bill Burr's latest.

I gave Doug Stanhope a shot and couldn't really get into it. I'll try again one day.

Patrice O'neal's stuff was great, I really recommend Stewart Lee stuff if you like slower paced comedy, been watching a lot of Norm MacDonald and Dave Allen (Irish) as well lately.
