For some reason Facebook just unfriends people randomly. Nobody is quite sure why this happens. |

Bulldog, it all depends on what you want from the site. Most people who want to build sites actually just want to make a blog. Something like blogger which abstracts a lot of the web stuff for you while giving you: 1. a mobile version of the site. 2. customizable look and layout 3. flexibility to make the blog pro looking. GoDaddy and others are simply domain name services. They have to redirect SOMEWHERE. That somewhere is your actual site and content. If you're looking to do it yourself and build the entire website on your own, you can check out freehostia.com which can give you a free limited web space so you can play around with php and sql. Then, feel free to realize you don't want to go this route and want something simpler.

Consider looking at Squarespace. Joe Rogan is constantly shilling them on his podcast. http://www.squarespace.com/ END COMMUNICATION |

BD, here is the link to the godaddy web design stuff: https://www.godaddy.com/hosting/website-builder.aspx?ci=90238 Scroll past the pricing options and click to see the different premade themes. They're a piece of cake and already built. You really only need to drag and drop things to customize the imagery and text. Again, Customer service is pretty damn good if you need some help. i checked out some of the business templates, and they have ones already designed around fitness and or sports. |

Not looking to do a blog - I have a blog that I upkeep and that's kind of a different thing from what I'm wanting. Basically, I just want a webpage that will give info on coaching services I offer and go from there. Nothing too fancy really. i'll check out the godaddy stuff and see if its a fit. |

Okay, but maybe you're not thinking out of the box in terms of how to use it. Blogger which I use allows you to build static pages (not blog entries) and I think you can customize how your front end will look like so it won't really resemble a blog at that point. There's also wordpress which is even more flexible for your needs. I've handled both personally and don't see the need for actual fancy services. Edited by niniendowarrior, Dec 5 2014, 07:35 PM.

Can I do it on a blogger or WordPress and simply buy a domain that would show that content? |

Yup. Or at least should be possible. I know blogger does allow it and I think Wordpress SHOULD. I've dealt with Wordpress code a few months back and know it's very robust. https://support.google.com/blogger/troubleshooter/1233381?hl=en http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/ Edited by niniendowarrior, Dec 5 2014, 09:54 PM.
