girls gifts vs boys gifts

Did the black Friday thing last night
Why are the boys cloths so much cooler than the girls ones?
They have batman, spiderman, etc... hoodies and whatnot made to look exactly like the costume. All the girls stuff is just a ducking sweater with the princess face on it. Wtf is that? It's just a shitty regular hoody with a picture on it for 4 times the cost. In some cases the captain America hoodies (which looked like the original captain with the leather on it) were cheaper than a printed logo frozen shirt. Daughtet loves marvel. Found one wonder woman t-shirt that was a costume looking one.

As far as toys go I stay away from the gender specific stuff like kitchens and baby dolls. If she asks for those i buy them but I'm not pushing them. She does love my little pony though.

What kind of cool shit you guys find

I love my girls, but I really wish I had a boy, for the toys. My house looks like a pink doll vomited everywhere.

What age group are you shopping for?

I've got a 6 yr old girl. She's really into Ever After High dolls, Barbie dolls, and of course anything to do with Frozen.

We got the Barbie camper as the big gift from santa, was about $100 here.

I also hear a lot of girls that age are into the "real american dolls" (could be butchering that). Apparently if you have one of these dolls, there are places the kids can go to take the doll to the spa, or for tea and stuff. Sounds awful to me, and I'm glad my daughter hasn't brought it up yet, but apparently it's quite the rage.

My stupid ass wife wanted to buy our son a $300 massive train set as "Santa's gift" and I managed to get that shot down pretty quickly. I mean - WTF - why give him something he doesn't understand? He's only fucking `1.5 years old.

Yeah (we need a Marshawn Lynch head too)

Give him some small toys and he'll be happy as shit!

Next year will be fun for you. He'll kind of know what's happening, and the anticipation is pretty cool when they first get what xmas is all about.

What I wouldn't give to be buying Captain America stuff instead of Hello Kitty!

Coolest gifts I've been able to get my daughters are both little cars. First they got a mini jeep (same colour as my real one), then a little Mini.

Roundhouse, you should have held off on the washer/dryer combo and had them brought in closer to the holidays.

"Look kids! Clean clothes for years to come! Merry Christmas!"

I'm sure that would have went over well.

Yeah.

(Seriously - we need a Marshawn Lynch head)

He has no idea WTF everyone is so happy about with Christmas and he was stoked when we turned on the tree - but I don't htink he could give any less of a shit about anything under it.

We took him to Toys R Us to see what he'd want to play with to get an idea of what he'd want - and he beelines straight towards the shitty, cheap soccer balls so he can throw those around. he played with their bigass Thomas The Train display for like 2 minutes and my wife is convinced that's what we have to get him :(

He did find a Bubble Puppy talking toy/doll/stuff animal thing and looked like he was about to cry - he was so happy seeing it. So we bought him that. That was kind of a no brainer. But my wife can't accept "only spending" ~$30 on her son for Xmas. So she wants a $300 fucking wooden train set (which - btw - he already has a smaller one that he just makes a mess with and loses the parts to)
