I kid you not, the Bills organization put out an ad today offering $10 an hour and free tickets to a future game to anyone who comes and helps shovel out the stadium

Lol...nice to see they're concerned about the community! I was half joking, although a die-hard bills fan, you've got people trapped in their homes, I think they should be the priority. |

Oh don't get me wrong, the offer is proving pretty divisive. Lots of hate going around for it. I think it's also kind of futile. There's something like an estimated. 200 tons of snow on the stadium; it usually takes 3-4 days to remove 100. Considering that 99% of people nearby can't use the roads, it's not getting cleared in time. I'm guessing it'll be moved or postponed. Edited by Jeff Mondo, Nov 19 2014, 08:48 PM.

They had a helluva win last night over San Jose. Only 6200 in attendance, but it was a good one! |

I like the one I saw on Facebook the other day where the guy opened the door and dug a square into the snow and made himself a mini cooler/fridge for his beer and liquor. lol |

Another thought I had with this - with a massive amount of snow falling on top of houses - wouldn't there be a GIGANTIC amount of property damage and people whose houses have literally caved in? Or am I missing something? |

I would think so. There was a TON of damage during the ice storm last winter. |

I'm just imagining if there is enough snow to completely block windows and a doorway with a complete solid wall - there's probably enough snow to cave in a roof. *shrugs* Maybe this is all a government conspiracy

Yeah, there's some windows/doorways being smashed in. A bunch of pictures of that are floating around the web. Another threat, especially with additional snow on the way in some areas, is the entire damn roof of your house caving in. Me, my brother, and my dad all went up on top of our house today to clear off as much snow as possible from the roof, mainly from around the gutters. There may or may not have been a plan to Swanton Bomb into the biggest pile of snow nearby if going back down the ladder seemed to risky. |
