What would happen if we installed a "good" dictator for a period of say 20 years in iraq? They'd have to meet guidelines from the un. Free speech, equal rights, etc... to the 3 responses i know i'm going to get from kneejerk posts i reply in advance: no and your mom is fat to anybody who wants to actually debate this: what kind of guidelines should they meet? should the dictator be more like our president/executive branch? how long would you set it up for? could this be tried in say gaza or the west bank since the population and area to be governed would be much smaller? |

I don't think these people would understand a benevolent dictator, they only respect obliterating power. The only ones who had success in keeping things in check were pretty brutal. |
