Latest on the Washington shooting. The shooter invited the 5 victems to join him for lunch via text, then walked in and shot them all. Wow, that's a stone cold premeditated multiple hit job. All over a girl? Sheesh. |

You didn't call for a ban on hatchets. Getting your head split open by a hatchet isn't as bad as getting shot in the head? |

Hatchets actually have uses other than murders. |

Latest CDC numbers for 2011 have the number of gun deaths in the U.S at 32,351. Find me 32,350 more machette deaths CBear, and I promise I'll support your machette ban. In actuality, I don't support a gun ban, even though I might support some reforms, depending on the specifics. I hate illogical arguments though. Don't stoop to right-wing talking points Cbear. You're better than that. |

A gun is a tool to be used for right or wrong. If someone choses to use it for wrong, I hope someone else is there to use it for right. My rights to own a tool should not be infringed due to anothers misuse of said tool. In this case, the guy was obviously fucked up beyond all belief. He gets voted prom queen, comes from a happy family, invites his closest friends to lunch and kills them. If one believes in religion, they might even question demonic possession. There are no shortages of demonic Indian entities seeking the ruin of souls, perhaps there in lies the answer. |

And do you have the slightest clue what those uses might be? I do, and I own several hatchets and axes. I can....cut down trees, cut up fire wood, shave fire starter, trim limbs and bushes, dispatch chickens for din dins, hammer nails. And I can also go full bore George Fucking Romero on E-Zoms should the need arise. What can you do with a hatchet? Have you ever even seen a hatchet? Hell, I could probably make a meatloaf with a hatchet. |

You might want to rethink using a hatchet on the E-Zoms. That's going to involve the spilling of a lot of blood. You better be in a fully sealed hazmat suit if you're going to chop into someone with the virus. And I'm glad Ash gave you that meatloaf material to work with. You're really going to town with that.

well said. nuclear bombs/biological weapons/land mines are tools to be used for right or wrong. if a group chooses to use it for wrong, i hope another group is there to use it for right. a groups right to own a tool should not be infringed due to another groups misuse of said tool. |

Is a weapon really a tool? I mean a knife can be both, but a gun? A gun is simply for killing things/people. What's the definition of "tool"? To me it sounds like nothing else than people trying to de-dramatize something by giving it a new name. Your gun culture is very confusing for us Scandinavians.

I agree that handguns should be banned. They can be concealed much easier than a rifle, and nobody's really using a handgun to hunt. |
