I took a "Fantasy Baseball Analytics" course my senior year.

Ended up dropping it because it was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too fucking hard and the "professor" took the course WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY too seriously
"History of Rock and Roll" was the hardest class I took at university, and it was common knowledge to all the upper classmen how hard it was. The problem was it was one of a select few options for a liberal arts credit for business majors and all the options filled up quickly. It was a 300 student lecture and you had to be at every single class.

The tests were freaking impossible because you had to memorize 50 songs, and then identify them from a 10 second clip played during the test. That should sound hard, but if it doesn't, trust me, it is. It also meant studying took forever because you had to listen to all these damn songs for days on end.
Kind of the same deal with the Fantasy Baseball class.

I remember walking in and this professor just jumped right in - no real introduction or anything.

It was a metric shitton of math that didn't make any sense and stats and relating things that weren't related in any way shape or form. All, in the end of the day, to determine a value of a player for a game that was supposed to be fun.

It was fucking ridiculous. I stayed for a week before bailing. The day before I dropped the class - he said something to the effect of "This class isn't a breeze or a walk through - you're here because you're passionate about this" or some dumb shit. When talking with a guy on my team later on - he was like "Oh, you didn't know? That guy's a fucking psycho. No one passes that class"

My guess is that the packed class dwindled to a handful of people after the dropping deadline.

I'm pretty sure I took that exact same class. It was definitely harder than it sounded. Like you said, they'd play a 10 second clip over the speakers in a giant lecture room and we have to name the song, artist, writer, etc.

For our final paper, we had to go to three 'concerts' and write a paper about the experience. I saw one act at a coffee shop on campus, went to some gay concert with my friend (some mid-2000's emo band) that was filled with 12 year old girls and their parents, and for the final paper I competley made it up and said I went to a Kanye West concert that took place at an arena on campus. I wrote some BS about how there were a bunch of brothas at the concert, then started to get paronied right before I turned it in and was praying that the concert hadn't been cancelled and I just never heard about it.
