Ill pass judgement when I see the full outfit and how Jared Leto pulls it off. Seems very similar to azarello and Bermejos joker from the "Joker" graphic novel where the joker is less of a grand villain and more of a street thug gone psycho

which is why it all sucks. The Joker is the most iconic of villains for Batman. He is Ultron, Thanos, Galactus all rolled together as Batmans arch enemy. To make him a tattood 20 year old punk is a frickin joke. Is Bieber going to be Batman?
i'm surprised none of the whities are bitching about the fact that aquaman should be a blondie whiteboy.
You just missed it. Aquaman is not a tat'd samoan. At least he didn't wasn't before he was "reimagined." And this wormy little punk as Joker......sheesh. Heath legger playing the Joker as a homeless drug addict bum was bad enough but now they go emo in the reboot.
I think he looks awesome and I think Jared is the perfect choice to fill the giant shoes left behind by Heath Ledger.
Anyone who actually thinks Ledger's joker sucks is either a complete hipster who dislikes anything the majority of the population likes for no reason other than their parents probably didnt give them enough attention and they need to feel like a special little snowflake, or is a fucking idiot whose opinion means jack shit.
Its literally one or the other. If its the former, they get my condolences on their shitty childhood.

The old joker just as a clown has been done a million times. Theres literally no point rehashing it as its been done to perfection either by Jack in the Burton movie, Mark Hamill in the animated series or by Frank Millar/Alan Moore in any number of Batman comics. Taking the Joker in other, less predictable directions keeps things fresh and considering the characters chaotic nature, makes sense.

I hear you, Im just a traditionalist. All this re-imagining just gives me a headache. As does the gimmick of killing off characters. Enough with someone dying all the freaking time.

Comic books are literally soap operas for boys/men. You have to have a normalization -> drama -> normalization cycle going constantly to keep people interested.
Its why Ive gone away from the standard DC/Marvel books and mostly now go with indie series (which pretty much always have a start-> finish run instead of the cyclical continuity of standard Marvel/DC Comics) or with one shot graphic novels that are entirely enclosed in 1 story.
