I was thinking about this the other day, but the only Marvel or DC movie I even remotely enjoy is the newest Superman movie with Michael Shannon. The Spiderman movies by Sam Raimi were okay too.

I've enjoyed the Marvel flicks so far aside from the first Captain America

Also, for anyone who cares The Rock is playing Shazam.

Ezra Miller plays the Flash - We Talk About Kevin and Perks of Being a Wallflower. He's actually pretty good, so this was a good casting job.

This guy Ray Fisher is playing Cyborg

Jason Momoa = Aquaman

So we got Henry Cavill - Superman, Ben Affleck - Batman, Gal Gadot - Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa - Aquaman, Rock - Shazam, Ezra Miller - Flash, Ray Fisher - Cyborg, and i'm assuming Green Lantern will be recasted

The Nolan Batman trilogy and the Snyder Superman are the gold standard.

Marvel is making bank though with increasingly mediocre action comedies. I really hope Warner Bros don't mail it in and just try to copy them.

I forgot about the Batman movies... don't know why. I guess they would be the best.

Probably due them being a couple of years older. Nolan started doing them before the Marvel cinematic universe got going.

I'm pretty sure the Rock is playing Black Adam.

So is Ezra going to be Wally West? For what its worth I give to shits about connected universes, including the overated Marvel Connected 'verse. Just give me great standalone movies

I thought it was alright. Honestly I was just happy about a comic book movie that involved some kind of superhero without an opposing all-powerful human corporation/government that was either the antagonist, responsible, the superheroes employer, owned by the superhero, etc. That's why Thor was enjoyable until marvel went all SHIELD. Plus Green Lantern at least had the whole hope vs fear angle or whatever as opposed to the majority of the crap lately that's like "look at this 'evil' thing, it's just so evil because it wants to be evil".

He said he was Shazam on his twitter awhile back - but maybe it was just him being general

I liked the movie so-so - but I thought it was a perfect "intro and set up" type movie for the future installments of the series. I'm betting a Green Lantern 2 and 3 would be incredible - but sadly it's not going to happen.

Didnt it do well in the box office too?
