What are the odds of this ever happening? If Fedor still has the same management, the chances must be slim and none because they'll demand $10 million dollars and a new stadium... Randy Couture vs. Fedor Emelianenko at Metamoris? 'Natural' not opposed to the idea Couture on Submission Radio: "That would be interesting and certainly given the time to prepare and get back up into good, solid grappling and wrestling shape, that would be a lot of fun and I think, you know. I'm not sure how active Fedor is at this stage, you know him being retired as well, but I'm certainly no opposed to an idea like that." http://www.mmamania.com/2014/8/18/6030547/randy-couture-vs-fedor-emelianenko-metamoris-natural-not-opposed-idea-mma |

Randy is just doing what he always does. Lobbing some shit on the wall and seeing if it will stick and make him money |

So this nonsensical thread has got me thinking, how long until Metamoris tries to get some Sakuraba/Gracie grappling matches going? |

I have 0 doubt that they've already explored the possibility. They were marketing themselves as the "North American ADCC" - and they're intending to get to a level where they're held in the same regard. Doubt it works, but who knows? |

I love what they're doing. I'm a novice at best when it comes to being a fan of competition BJJ, but Metamoris is what has gotten me interested to the small extent I am at this point. I think they are smart to know that the MMA crowd is the best demo to market their product to in order to get new eyes on an old product. The grappling fans will already be on board with the events even if they do criticize the shit out of it (kind of like we all do to the UFC) and the MMA fans will tune in just to see familiar names and something they are familiar with in a different setting. |

ufc fighters have been competing in ADCC forever now. i doubt they are going to stop them from being in Metamoris any time soon. |

I'd love to see them keep an open business relationship. There is a lot of cross over going both directions between the 2 sports. Maybe the UFC can offer opportunities for some of the better grapplers looking to transition to MMA. I'm sure they'd be great to fill in a spot on TUF even in the Brazil seasons or what not. |

I wonder why they haven't booked a Tim Sylvia/Jeff Monson rematch. I'm sure Monson would love the chance to redeem himself after Tim took him to school and then the wood shed in their epic battle on the ground. |

Probably because Tim is too busy signing autographs for the 3s of people that happen to venture into the hunting store he's at. |
