**EDIT - The new lock system is up! A little bit glitchy, but runs okay!** How would you all feel about a new lock system to replace our current one? We would completely do away with the old, tacky and completely outdated "block" objects and simply use pure code to lock apartment doors. Of course, you'll still be able to unlock it from both anywhere and inside your apartment, and staff will be able to manually unlock it if there is a problem. It's not a hard system to come up with, but it's going to take a lot of effort to remove all the old locks. The DS is a scary place. The only problem is what we're gonna do with the front yards - I'm considering just leaving them open. This way we can make the teleport commands more loose and so people can't block. Also, we'll be able to free ourselves from the nonsense of people using summon, join, and lead/follow commands to break in! Only other thing I can think of is that it makes apartment checks a little more complicated, but it's all good! Thoughts? Yay? Nay? Lets see some hands here. Feel free to post any comments or suggestions you'd like to see with a lock system overhaul! Edited by Zookeeper, Jun 6 2009, 04:37 AM.

I'm not sure. I do kinda like the blocks, flawed as they are. If they were gone, however, people could set up little entry ways in the gardens much more elaborate than the ones now. So. FORWARD INTO THE FUTURE, and replace the blocks at a convenient time. |

I support this system. Therefore it shall be. Because Kyuu's word is law. |

Your word is only law in your own little twisted up fantasy world. |
