Transfiguration - the art of changing the properties of an object. Sounds fun! Don't hurt yourself!

Defense Against the Dark Arts - teaches defense techniques to block spells, charms, curses, hexes, and jinxes cast by other wizards. Don't get hurt! We don't pay for your bill...

Charms - a type of magic spell that gives an object new and unexpected properties. Sounds awesome! Sign me up!

Potions - the art of creating mixtures with magical effects. Snape used to teach this subject. Watch where you step...

Astronomy - the only tie to the Muggle world from Hogwarts. Only required for 4th years.

History of Magic - the study of magical history.

Herbology - the study of magical plants and how to take care of them.

Arithmancy - a reportedly hard subject involving math. Ew...sounds hard. Might not be taking this one. Optional class.

Ancient Runes - A mostly theoretical subject that studies the ancient runic scripts.

Divination - the art of predicting the future.

Care of Magical Creatures - Learning about and how to care for magical beasts. An optional class after 3rd year.

Muggle Studies - involves the study of Muggles "from a wizarding point of view."

Flying - only required for 1st years.

Apparition - the art of magically disappearing from one place and reappearing in another, requires a license and may only be legally performed by people over 17 years of age. Look for notices in the common room announcements for each house.

Scrivenshaft's is a stationery shop located on the High Street. Scrivenshafts sells everything for all of your writing needs.

Gladrags Wizardwear sells clothing. It is full of quirky merchandise, and appears to specialise in strange and unusual socks.

Honeydukes Sweetshop is one of the most famous wizarding confectioneries in the world. It sells wizarding sweets of all descriptions, including Chocolate Frogs, Liquorice Wands, Pepper Imps, Chocoballs, Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, Fizzing Whizzbees, Drooble’s Best Blowing Gum, Toothflossing Stringmints, Ice Mice, Cockroach Clusters, Jelly Slugs, Blood Lollipops, Acid Pops and Sugar Quills, among others. Honeydukes is particularly well known for their special kind of fudge.

The Shrieking Shack, on the outskirts of Hogsmeade, is believed to be the most haunted building in Great Britain. Many haunting things happened here...best not go inside.
