As the lead spriter of the Last Ninja Online development team it is my duty to help ya'll to improve your spriting skills.

So I desided to put up some tutorials about how to sprite.

Beginner Tut(s)

http://www.zybez.net/community/index.php?showtopic=724901 (Really good tutorials, good read on shading too)

Other Tut(s)

Hair

http://shaffyness.ymvdesigns.com/hair.html
Very straightfoward hair tutorial.

http://ppkh.davidsonlinegallery.com/pixels/tut-hair.php
An excellent tutorial on drawing hair. Definately handy for those of you who are spriting on larger templates like the Kaizer Sprites.

Folds

http://www.himenosakura.com/images/t...tutorial02.gif
A tutorial for folds. However this deals with folds in dresses and may not apply to many sprites but it is still handy.

Other/General
Usually tutorials in here cover more than one topic and I can't place it in one category by itself.

http://www.pixelforest.cn/tutorial/tutorial.htm
This site is in Japanese but the tutorials are clear enough so you don't need to be able to read the language to benefit from it.

http://ssn.sonicstadium.org/index.ph...ls&id=Beginner
Geared towards Sonic Sprites in particular but the techniques explained in these tutorials can apply to any sprite.

Tileset Tutorials
Geared towards making tilesets, Object tutorials.

http://pixel-zone.rpgdx.net/shtml/tutmini-grass.shtml
Grass tutorial. An interesting perspective on something we sort of take for granted.

http://pixel-zone.rpgdx.net/shtml/tutmini-logs.shtml
Logs tutorial. Very helpful for shading wood and cyllinders.

http://pixel-zone.rpgdx.net/shtml/tu...rickwork.shtml
I particularly like this tutorial ^__^. Drawing bricks for walls and houses and floors.

http://pixel-zone.rpgdx.net/shtml/tutmini-wood.shtml
Shading wood tutorial, slightly advanced though...but it's helpful.
