{ Basics of RP } RP, or roleplay, is you playing as your own original character. You are able to apply their five senses to your writing, and type out their actions and speech. Writing in first person with story elements, basically. { Examples } Bad Example: bob serched for a caterpy,he found 1 in frnt of him and threw a pokeball then he caught it. ^ Obviously, grammar and punctuation are horrible, and words are misspelled. "Bob" also godmodded by saying he caught the Caterpie, which is disallowed, as it is up to the moderator on whether or not a Pokemon is caught. Good Example: Bob looked around, searching for a Caterpie. Such a Pokemon should be plentiful in the lush forest, and he had wanted one for his team for a while now. He walked slowly and silently so he would not scare away any Caterpie that may be lurking by. Suddenly, he spotted a moving figure ahead. It was definitely a Pokemon! Was it a Caterpie? Oh well, it was worth a shot! He pulled out a Pokeball and threw it, hoping for the best. ^ Here, proper English is utilized, and the post is more descriptive than the first. Don't go out of your way to lengthily detail every action, but some sort of description in your sentences is appreciated. { RPing Rules } These must be kept in mind~ -- At least two paragraphs in each post or one really detailed paragraph. A paragraph is usually 3-5 sentences. -- Proper English used. -- No godmodding (aka deciding results for yourself). |
