All right, that's what I thought. Yeah, his tail is gone, looks like a little quail butt from behind.

Poor little guy, its too bad he does not know that this is being done for his well being. But good for you for helping him, and when he is flying through your house you will feel so proud.

Ok, I'm pretty sure I got all the broken pieces, I think there is still one on his tail, but I couldn't get a grip and he kept moving, I'll keep an eye on it. Poor guy is mad at me and lonely, I gave him a heating pad so he has some extra heat, since the bedroom is a little cooler than the rest of the house.

Oh thats right, when u first see him fly, its very rewarding. This is how I got cricket so tame. I just let her ride on the top of my head or shoulders and I clipped various greenfoods and toast to my body and she just ate off her travelling buffet. She became soooooooo tame.

Well, my friend sent me home with the other french moulter. He (might be she, didn't look close enough) is grey greywing like the older brother in the picture. My friend pulled the primary flight, but didn't do the secondary, so I'm going to go in and make sure she didn't miss any broken feather. Now my guy has a buddy and I don't have to feel so guilty about him being alone. They both got really excited when I put the cages next to eachother. I'll get a picture later, I gotta go grocery shopping now, I don't want to go grocery shopping, but we need food.

Hey if they are from the same breeder and or are clutchmates, put them together, they will thrive better together than apart. They will preen and eat and do everything together. Also, if u have any antibiotics u should put them in the water for 10 days or more and I would give vitamins as well. Usually they say if a moulter they usually have another ailment or infection. I found that all mine are sickly or have a weaker immune system. So they get special care and extra warmth and feed.

Yeah, they are clutchmates, they were very excited to see eachother. I pulled the rest of the new guy's flights and tail feathers. Some are broken, but peer pressure and wild turkey are causing blurriness in vision, I'll sit with tweasers tomorrow:)

Well, put them in the same cage, they will thrive much better in this time of stress. P.S. I'm not surprised u got both hahhaa. Good for u. :) Post pics when u can. The biggest battle with FM are enough good nutrition. Make sure they have plenty of water and lots of good food and a nice warm temperature. They should handle the rest.
