From my experience, it does take a while. I read it can take up to six weeks for them to fully shed the virus.

Still not sure if it is salmonella or PMV, either way its a shyte kicking for this bird. I just dont know if or when I should pull the plug. I dont want her to suffer unduly.

This am, she did a very normal looking poop with all the urates and stool. She didnt fight me and doesnt feel as hot and always seems a bit better after a good nites rest. Its slow going but she is not laid flat out as before. I mean she looked dead that I had to touch her to see if she was alive.
