These are random pics of it going up, note the additions as they occur. First, no window, then a screen and then casement window and then a large south facing window that lets in light but not sun. They will have lots of west light and may have a small door facing east into an attached shed loft at back. That is the next unit to be build. It is up on blocks with a nice 2x6 sub floor with 3/4 inch plywood on top.

I gotta say tho, the guys were SUPER winey all day, drove me nuts. Should have had an all girl crew.

ha ha I love it :) and "yes" an all girl crew may have been better and more fun but of course if I was helping you would have "cute little curtains in the window" oh and maybe some paintings on the outside. :$

All kidding aside it looks wonderful and I'm glad you had some muscle help. Those are some lucky birds.

Lol, if I thought I could get away with it and the birds would not poop on everything, I would put window coverings hahaha.

LOL, i like the idea of window coverings but alas, birds are pretty indiscriminate where they drop.

In all seriousness, this is going to be one heck of a pigeon housing. Heck, they are getting a waterfront view!

I will see pics o he inside and post. Gonna paint the ceiling white, the walls a light green to show off the white plumage of the birds, and not sure about the floor, either white or this laminate flooring I have. If the laminate is slippery when wet, will leave it plywood and just paint it, even black as a comtrasr to the birds color. I need an interior decorators advice lol.

Cathy, I did the first coat of white primer, was such a beating to prep, the paint gun is a pain in the ass. Im gonna do a second coat with and then do the green with a roller and brush as the prep for that would be hanious. The overspray is a pain in the ass.

Here are some pics of the primer and the bigger window
