Hi, Just to update u all on my current birds situation, my friend gave me his Goulds to breed them with mine so i made a blog about the progress of the season. The blog was initially private for him and I then we started to invite our friends over to have a look. Here's the link and don't be afraid to add comments lol http://loveofgoulds.blogspot.com/ ![]() |

LOL, just have a look guys, don't have to read everything. Violet is still around. He is my only gould that never got his adult colors. He still looks the same which is very odd for an adult Gould. |

Ok .... I have to ask a question. Looking at your FB page I saw a couple of canaries that looked...well...just horrible. Why would anyone do that to a canary????????? This makes me really sad and just wondering what the heck the point of that is.

Lol, Vi, I got kicked out of a budgie site because I wanted to breed split dusters to get feather dusters for myself, and they went ballistic, asking me how the hell I could purposely want to breed mutants. Well I fked with them good. I posted pics of some Italian gibber canaries and asked them if that mutant was any worse or better AND pointed out that the English budgie itself was a giant mutant of the bush budgie. Long story short, they were loser morons and the only way they could win their argument was to ban me lol. My point being, people breed what they want and mess with nature to make these mutant deformed looking canaries, so what was the dif if I wanted to breed for dusters as they are beautiful to me! |

Oh and by the way, a world renown English breeder Mick Freakley actually bred a split duster halfsider budgie that was fertile and got a bunch of normal looking bubs from them. Some nice and some not. Point also being, he IS a top breeder and played Frankenstein with this mutation and I'm not sure anyone gave him any flack? He advertises them and shows them off on his site. To each their own I guess.
