Now, I don't know if this is because of Mr. Skinny since he's used to Kosha.

In the backyard, Kosha hangs out a lot under the date palm and roots up the rocks (actually, she's making a mess of it all). She roots up the rocks to eat the date seeds that fall down. In the past few days, I've noticed that quite a few of the pigeons have started following her around under there and they are pecking around. I am assuming that they are also eating the date seeds that Kosha manages to root up.

Like I said, I don't know if they started trusting Kosha because of Mr. Skinny or they figured out on their own that she is not a predator and they're safe around her. It's so sweet to watch them following after her as she roots up the rocks.

Those pigeons better not try to steal any of Kosha's food ... thats all I can say!

She'll be cryin' for a week! :'(

P.S. Tish get that camera ready sounds like the makings of a great pic. :)

I can tell you one thing Vi, those pigeons would never get a chance to eat Kosha's food. She gobbles it up at once so there is nothing left for anyone else.

A couple of days ago I tried to take a photo for Maryann of the outdoor flock but turns out the batteries were dead. I'm getting tired of the batteries konking out so quickly.

Tish....the same stupid thing was happening to me with the batteries. I took Maryann's suggestion and got a battery charger. I comes with it's own battery and when the camera won't go on anymore u plug in your charger and battery....overnight. I was spending like $11 or so dollars a month for a new battery and charger cost $37. It has already paid for it's self. Especially for people like us that need our camera ready at a moments notice!
