Crazy Bird Lady

Ya so saw the show again tonite, it's called American hoggers. What a brutal job. They set the dogs on them to pin them down so the people can hog tie them with hobbles. They are causing alot of damage to crops and land and farms. There is alot of ferrel hogs out there. Apparently they will just as soon kill and eat humans. Dude told a story of a man falling sown near the back of his property and his son found him next morning, well just a part of his skull, the hogs ate the rest!

I mean, it's just basically a wrestling match, first between the hogs and dogs, then the hoggers and their dogs, then the hoggers and the hogs. Lots of commotion and a VERY dangerous job.

One lady said a huge black male hog was threatening her by knashing it's teeth together. The hunter said it's their way of sharpening their tusks/weapons for an attack. I didn't realize they were that dangerous. I'm gonna google then right now. I find it very interesting. All animals fascinate me.

Wow. Well maybe I will take a look ... just once. Sorry guess I have a lot to learn. I just never thought of them as vicious killers. Just can't wrap my head around them killing and eating a man. ^o) Course ... I guess they are starving.

What I do know about wild pigs is that they can be extremely dangerous but do not attack unprovoked. They prefer to flee rather than fight. They have to feel some sort of threat in order to attack. Pigs are omnivorous, however, they do not hunt for food. They are opportunistic and will eat a dead animal. If they have to kill when they perceive a threat, they will likely eat that kill. They are more vegetarian eaters since they do not hunt for their food.

They can be extremely dangerous if threatened.

Here's a site I found that pretty much details it.

Well on the show I saw, a lady was just walking her property and the boar was threatening her and she ran for her front porch. He was nashing his teeth. I wouldnt trut them for sure, they are very aggresive just like any other wild animal that is territorial. :)

I think that a boar will control his clan and will fight for territory. If he percieves her ranch as a good supply of food, she herself is at risk.
